A tropical retreat awaits guests at Amatoa Resort, just a 3-minute stroll from the white sandy beach of Bira. Offering panoramic views of the ocean, the resort features an outdoor pool and air-conditioned bungalows with private terraces. Spacious and stylish, each bungalow is fitted with artworks and a 4-poster bed with mosquito net. A day bed and a seating area are also provided. The attached bathrooms come with shower facilities and free toiletries. Guests can sun tan by the pool overlooking the sea, or go diving. Staff at the tour desk can assist guests with sightseeing arrangements. Other on-site conveniences include laundry service, luggage storage and free parking spaces. European, Indonesian and seafood dishes can be enjoyed at the resort’s restaurant. In-room dining options are possible with room service. Amatoa Resort is located at the south-eastern tip of South Sulawesi, a 3.5-hour drive from Hassanuddin International Airport in Makassar. Guests may request for airport pick-up services at a charge.

The view from our bungalow (nr 6) was amazing, fantastic pool and the whole resort is decorated on a style very integrated with the environment, it is located on a cliff in front of the sea. The staff was very friendly and always trying to help and the food in the restaurant was excellent. Splendid view, nice rooms, friendly staff. the place is perfect. This hotel is probably the best in Bira! The rest are not really much to get excited about though. Good reception, easy to check in, room was ready early. It was spacious and quite clean. There were mosquito nets and a great sea view. The hotel is a bit tatty and is in need of an overall makeover - however nothing that would make you not want to check in. The food was very average and quite a limited choice - small breakfast options. The pool was great for a beer and watching the sun go down. .
