From the moment that we drove down through the city streets to City
Center Hotel, we knew that the location was just right on. We were near
the majority of restaurants, museums & galleries and shopping.

Very central location...close to main shopping areas, tourist centers
and restaurants...try The Grill Market Restaurant on the same street as
the hotel. We had a room with a balcony which was a good idea as it gave
us a lovely view of the square behind the hotel. The staff were very
helpful and breakfast was substantial. Easily reached( to and from
airport ). Very comfortable and warm. Tours to take...The Golden Circle

We were a family group: Grandpa, Grandma, Daughter, grandsons ages 11,
12. We needed affordable lodging near shopping and public
transportation. Downtown Reykjavik Apartments (dra) met and exceeded our
requirements. The dra is just 2 blocks from one of the main bus stations
in Reykjavik. From that point, one can travel anywhere in the City.

We booked the smallest and cheapest available room (the double studio). When we arrived, finding our keys and room was very easy.
The room was small but very clean - the bedding smelt very fresh. We also saw a family studio which was bigger and again very clean and pleasant.
I asked to upgrade our room as I wanted a bit more space (the prices are very reasonable and I was happy to pay more). However when the owner and Thora heard it was the last leg of our honeymoon, they upgraded us to a 3 bed

The town House guest house is a lovely little place, within walking distance of the twon centre and of the town swimming pool. The owner, harpa, is really helpful and friendly. The room was really comfortable, bright and clean, in a quite street, so no traffic noise. -

Aegir, the owner was a fantastic guy who upgraded us upon knowing we we were on our honeymoon to a gigantic loft (from a studio). Very central,side street off main shopping street! Beds very comfy had 2 x twin bed rooms,lounge,kitchen,bathroom.
Arrived early about 11am,luckily the owner had cleaned our 2 bed apartment and it was ready.
Went to the bonus supermarket round the corner to get milk/bread etc.
Toaster didn't work,but text the owner and they brought another one str

Apartment is in an excellent location in the heart of Reykjavik. Well equipped, clean and nicely decorated. Comfortable beds. Would definitely stay there again.

Good clean and warm guesthouse. Very warm, casual and homely welcome from owners Edda and Runar. Very clean, comfortable and warm room with good fast wifi Internet. Breakfast buffet incredibly good, and they will accommodate you if you need some extra rest in the morning. Edda and Runar very helpful in general when I needed to find somewhere in the city or arrange anything. Apartment was well furnished and very comfortable and clean. Great location in Reykjavik. Maria who received us was courteous and very helpful. - Very reasonably priced (we did book very early) and very close to centre of Reykjavik, so easy to park and get around. Very friendly staff.
