  Hotel Berg was a recommendation from our car hire company Blue Cars. We had an early flight back to the UK and wanted somewhere near to the airport. We had been travelling around the Westernfjords where hotels are not big on welcoming exteriors... it's hard to tell if they are open at times. When we spotted the Hotel Berg across the harbour it looked both invi - Stayed in one of the two floor suites, complete with skylight in the ceiling above the bed. Lovely decor, clean and comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful, offered to take us to the airport the next day and told us that breakfast was available from 4am! They have a Northern Lights wake up call that you can put your name down for. There's a coffee machine (with hot water and tea bags available too) in the lounge.   The guesthouse has very nice recycled unigue wooden interior . The tub in the garden is perfect. There is a cosy atmosphere and the view from the kitchen with Dow overlooking the sea is fantastic. The self serving breakfast in the fridge is variated and the home baked bread tasty. Magdalena the caretaker of the guest house is very helpful and car... τι λέει ο κόσμος » ing for the guests. A nice place to stay after arri ing from the airport or before leaving. - My husband and I were thoroughly impressed with the design of the guesthouse. We were warmly welcomed, our room was cozy and practical, and the smell of fresh bread baking was enticing. While there is not much to do in Keflavik, Guesthouse1x6 serves as a handy stop for an early morning flight.

  I really liked this hotel. Free taxi drive from the airport was quite unexpected in a good way. Breakfast was just wonderful and the old ladies really made me feel like home. I noticed they had a very large fitness centre free of charge for hotel guests and I used the sauna - will use the weight lifting some other time. - This is the friendliest... τι λέει ο κόσμος » place imaginable, and helpful staff too. No wonder flight crews choose it for their stopovers. The free airport shuttle taxi service is a great bonus. Five AM breakfasts before early morning check-ins at Keflavik airport is a fantastic service as well. Great value for money.

  I liked everything about this hotel. The room sizes are great and completely accessable. The breakfast in the morning was really nice, meats, cereals, fruit, juice, coffee, tea.. Everything fresh. Staff very pleasent and very very helpful. It obviuosly is very convenient for the airport (2 minute walk) and rental car drop off is also walking dista... τι λέει ο κόσμος » nce. Its a couple of km into Keflevik were there is all the usual facilities. The airport has a small convenience store that is open untill 11 at ni - A couple of minutes walk from the airport terminal. The rooms were clean and fresh. The hotel was quiet which is a bonus when you need an early night, to catch an early flight. The breakfast buffet was good and there was plenty of food to chose from (cereals, toast, meats and cheese). Breakfast was out from 4.30am to accommodate guests who were catching an early flight.
