We loved our stay here! The hotel is in a nice, quiet part of Fira, away from the constant noise of the main road. It's a good 10 -15 min walk up to the main part of town and its quite steep so be aware if you think that will bother you. Our room had a nice balcony near to the pool which we used each morning and with a bit of a sea view. Very pleasant in the morning and evening! We booked a studio and our room was spacious, very clean and offered quite alot of privacy. The owners are all lovely. όλα τα σχόλια »
1. Hotel owner are so kind, he pick up us from port to hotel (even it is 23 clock) , and send us to port when we leave.
2. Swimming pool is super clean. Room is clean. Everything is clean.
3. I forgot my GPS in the car which I rent, the Hotel owner even find it for me after I backed to home and just call him once. At the end he send me GPS from Greek to Germany and paid the cost for me! Really nice people I would like suggest all my friend to visit him if they go to Santorini.
Fantastic stay at the Plastiras Rooms! Very friendly and hospitable owners who were very accommodating to our needs. Extremely affordable room rates! The room we were placed in had the most marvellous ocean views, where we got to enjoy some gorgeous sunrises and moonlight over the ocean. The rooms are equipped with a fridge and kettle, spacious and comfortable. May be a short walk from Fira, but feels like a traditional Santorinian experience!.
This is a really cute, family run hotel. The rooms are simple and clean and we had a nice balcony with a view over some fields and the sea (not the caldera). There is a lovely little pool and the location is quiet. The owners were charming and friendly, organising lifts for people, barbeques etc. We sat with the owner on the last night and he poured us his own special mix of local wines, then gave us the bottle to take with us!.
The family is great - they often gave me a lift up to Fira if they happened to be going (it's only about 8 minutes walking, but all uphill). The room was quite comfortable and the location is out of the tourist nightmare that is Fira, but still close for restaurants, shopping and views if the caldera when you want to go in.
host was very friendly and place is not far from fira center. but if try to find without any help, it will be hard i think.
Ionas was the perfect host. He knew how to direct us to everything. He was a very congenial host, but wasn't pushy.
Close to the centre of fira, great friendly staff, good pool, quiet area.
We booked the studio as it came with a kitchenette and we wanted to do a bit of cooking. However it's very basic, only one pot and a few utensils and no cooking oil etc. It didn't bother us too much as we loved having a big, airy room after staying in dingy places in barcelona - but if you are specifically staying in that room to cook keep in mind you'll probably have to buy some basic supplies and maybe borrow a second pot or a frying pan!.
No complaints. I guess if you have mobility issues the walk up the hill into the centre of town might bother you, but it really shouldn't be an issue for the vast majority of people.
The location is unmarked and arriving after dark, it was almost impossible to find. I had to stop several times and ask, and finally by luck only, asked a woman in the street that happened to be related to the family - she walked me there. even though she spoke no english she recognized I was asking for Plastiras.
Hot water didn't always work.
