An historic, timber-framed hotel in the centre of Quedlinburg’s medieval Old Town, guests here enjoy cosy, cottage-style rooms and a rich breakfast buffet. An outdoor terrace overlooks the beautiful garden.
All rooms at the 3-star Hotel Alter Fritz include a cable TV, fine wooden furnishings and authentic wooden beams.
Visitors start their day in the welcoming, rustic-style breakfast room with a traditional German breakfast. A half-board option is available, with meals served at the nearby Gasthaus zum Goldenen Ring, just 500 metres away.
Several cafés, restaurants and historic landmarks are within walking distance from Alter Fritz. The ancient Quedlinburg Abbey is a 15-minute walk away.
In warm weather, guests can relax in the green courtyard. A safety deposit box for valuables is also offered.

I was in Quedlinburg twice and both times I enjoyed staying in hotel Alter Fritz. Hostess is very friendly, room is clean and the breakfast was for every taste. Plus the location is perfect - it's situated in 10 minutes by walk from Train station and 10 minutes from Rathaus in city center.
A very good breakfast and friendly hostess. Also the local 2 Euro hotel
booking charge for Quedlinburg allows free use of buses. We had four
free rides to get to our next destination of Braunlage in the Harz
mountains.όλα τα σχόλια »
I and my brother stayed 5 days in hotel Alter Fritz, and it was a good time. It's a wonderful, historical half-timbered house in the center of the town. Comfortable rooms, good breakfast, nice staff. Very reccomended.
The period hotel and furniture was well maintained, and we enjoyed the authenticity of the location. There was lots to do and see in Quinlingberg.
The location and the building itself were perfect. Nice staff.
nice old building
quite spacious room and bathroom.
It was a festival in the whole city and since we had windows with a view on a main square - it was a bit loudly till 12 pm. But it's definitely not hotel's fault.
No Internet connection. No elevator, but if you stay in an ancient building you must accept it.
The parking place was too far from the hotel, and the road getting there was very bad.
only German spoken at the reception
car park a bit far from the hotel
no Wi Fi.
