Excellent staff and restaurant, well set up to deal with a large number of people staying for the opera festival. Friendly staff, traditional Bavarian decor and uniform, very close to the railway station but only a short walk to the centre, excellent breakfast buffet without the usual irritating music in the background, which for me is a rare and very welcome occurrence. - The staff were friendly.

I was there to attend a performance at the Festspielhaus and the location was perfect for that adn teh old town. Staff were very friendly and I had an excellent lunch from the daily special menu, delicious and extremely good value and service. everything was fine - I originally booked a double room when my friend was intending on coming along. It was nice that the hotel clerk was willing to let me change to a single room and save a bit of money. Since it was New Years Eve they extended the check out time to 12:00 which was nice but then there was no breakfast. Otherwise the place was nic
