Owner was very accommodating, friendly and made sure that Le Commanderie was well appointed with amenities, comfortable beds, WiFi, TV and stylish furnishings. Loved the room and bathroom layout. Spacious with a mix of modern and baroque. Breakfast was amazing with Nespresso coffee, eggs and homemade pistachio muffins and jams. French bread of course! Location was very central in St Emilion and parking was beside the B&B. Would stay here again and recommend it!.
όλα τα σχόλια » We loved every moment of our stay at the Maison de la Commanderie in St. Emilion. Our host, Laurent, was wonderful. He provided a wonderful home cooked breakfast served family style. He called a cab service to bring us to the train. He definitely paid attention to every detail about his establishment. The room was spacious and state of the art (iPod speaker system, flat screen TV, fabulous shower with spray jets) with magnificent views of the town and countryside. Everything was excellent, especially breakfast with home-made tarts and yogurts. We have stayed in the room "Templiers", the view is not so good as in "Commandeur", but it has pretty big extra bed (very good for kids). The owner was very pleasant. Location is great, parking is nearby. Right in the middle of town. Excellent spot. Room was great and I highly recommend this place as a base to explore all the surrounding vineyards.we used it as a base and drove into Bordeaux. It is only about 40 mins by car. Breakfast was excellent. we booked the cheapest room and got upgraded to the Commandeur suite up on the top floor! great view from every window. bang in the middle of the town. great balcony. great big shower. parking right next door. lovely staff. perfect place. We loved this place with its eccentric décor and homemade produce for breakfast around the kitchen table. This is a perfect location for visiting St Emilion with easy access to parking outside the town walls. All the above. Very knowledgeable and helpful owner. A great breakfast....which is a 'must do'. We would stay there again without hesitation. A MUST STAY. Fine, very modernised renovated room which is difficult to imagine from hotel's medieval appearance provides us warm comfortable stay in winter time. The location is perfect. There was a good selection at breakfast, most of which appeared to be homemade. The owner was very friendly and helpful with restaurant recommendations. Free wifi which worked in the bedrooms. Great central location. Carrying luggage upstairs although it wasn't that difficult. No elevator. Could here people walk up the steps however, it was dead quiet otherwise. Nothing we didn't like! Loved this place!. no lift so we had to lug the suitcases up a few flights of stairs but that's the only downside. oh and there is no fridge, just a full minibar. apart from that, this place is perfect. No problem for us, but the stairs may be an issue for some. The way of opening entrance is not easily understandable and it needs strong power which may be hard for women especially. So guests should learn it carefully from the hotel's staff and try to open the door themselves with them before going out. And the staff does not always stay at the hotels's office in night time. There really wasn't a down side, but just a note that there is no lift (2 flights of stairs only) and the lighting could be a little brighter. I could not get WiFi there. Nothing!. The host was disinterested and the walls between rooms were acoustically poor. plan restaurants early, since 2 star michelin nearby very popular. No blind on the skylight window. A bit pricey for a B&B.
