If you are wanting to experience the buzz of being right in the centre of an old French City, look no further than Alex's 2nd floor apartment. From the start when Alex led us down the tiny passage to the old wooden door that opened into the hallway of the apartment block and led us up the 42 steps to the charming apartment with its mezzanine floor, it was a wonderful experience. Alex is a charming man who could not have been more helpful. It started with liaising as to the arrival time by text,.
όλα τα σχόλια » The location was excellent. It was very close to la Place de la Comédie. It was a charming old style French appartment. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful. There was an oven, refrigerator, dishes, and a washing machine with a rack for drying the clothes. The master bedroom was downstairs. It is difficult to find a hotel room for 3 people near the city center in Montpellier, so for our needs, it worked well. A second bedroom was upstairs. It was within walking distance of the train sta. The apartment was clean and comfortable. It was very helpful having a clothes washer. We had enough room for two adults and three kids. Alexandre was extremely helpful and flexible, even when we arrived in Montpellier several hours late. The location was great. We loved staying in an old building. The location is in the city center, which is excellent. The flat has a very nice atmosphere -- you are staying the real place where locals live, thus you see the city not from the lens of hotel but from the inside. The owner is a very nice and helpful person. Location is excellent in the heart of Montpellier. Alex is a great host with lots of good advice, particularly about local restaurants. The apartments seem to be at the heart of Montpellier. Location was perfect, quiet yet amongst it all. Friendly host who provided a few extras like milk and coffee. WiFi good. Very nice 13th century building and very friendly owner, very comfortable and super fast internet connection. Location, friendly host, quiet location even in middle of town, comfortable beds. Very nice . Alexander is great. Thank you. Perfect for shopping!. location very good. Party time from the neighbours can extend into the wee hours on a Saturday night, but not a huge issue!!. As to be expected with an older French apartment, there is no elevator, and luggage needs to be carried to the second floor. Because of its closeness to the train station, it may be difficult to find a taxi driver that is willing to drive you there if you want one to take you. Because it is typical of older French apartments, there is only enough water for about 2 showers before allowing the water to reheat. It would have been helpful to have some fans. The loft bedroom was pretty warm at night and the main bedroom was pretty noisy at night thanks to people coming home after a night of drinking and from people who woke up early and talked loudly while drinking their coffee. There is no water boiler to make tea and no ironing facilities. The second was very frustrating since I had to go out in shirts and could not iron them. There is no curtain in the shower and there is no holder on the wall to attach the shower. Thus, showering is problematic and unpleasant. Upstairs bedroom not really suited to adults - not full head height. No screen or curtain on shower. Beware the tendency of Montpellier's dog owners to use the streets as a toilet - lots of tap dancing required. Nothing. Only problem we had was with mosquitos. Was ok after using insect propellant. Bathroom lack of screen, tall folk might bump head upstairs. None.
