  The Chateau exceeded all our positive expectations. Claude,the owner , and his staff couldn't be more welcoming, charming or helpful. The furnishings and meal service are of the finest quality and provide for a very elegant experience in a most comfortable setting. We (including our two teenage daughters) felt very much at home. We stayed in the 3... τι λέει ο κόσμος » -room suite which had two pretty bedrooms (with large comfortable double beds in each) and one nice sized modern bathroom with shower. Breakfast on te - Chateau de Portail was a wonderful experience and Claude Herbert was an amazing host. It was nice to be welcomed so warmly into his home with nowhere out of bounds. The house is charming, warm, comfortable and elegant with a relaxed feel to it thanks to Claude Herbert's hospitality. As a family with two young girls (aged 3 and 5) this can sometimes be an annoyance to other guests and the host but we never felt like this. The breakfast was delicious and fresh (the brioche is to die for) and CH c
