We went to Merseilles as part of our honeymoon. The owner Danielle "Jeanette" is also a travel agent herself, and her personal experience and very warm and friendly nature ensured that we were well prepared for our few days in this beautiful city. The hostesse / owner was very friendly and knowledgeable about Marseille. The rooms and breakfast area were clean and modern, and the breakfast was very good. We only stayed for a short trip to watch the football ( Arsenal ) at the Stade Velodrome opposite, but if I was touring Marseille I would definitely stay here. The Metro was five minutes away and would take you to all the parts of Marseille. I was very pleased with my stay and would recommend it.

We have stayed at Villa Monticelli for 4 days and we absolutely loved
it! Delicious breakfast, beautiful balcony, cosy rooms and friendly
owners (the family which owns the Villa and their wonderful dog). I
would highly recommend this place for anyone who wants to feel like home

The room was amazing! Large bed with draped canvas made it look really romantic. The loft was roomy yet accommodated 4 twin size beds. The owner was very pleasant and even allowed us to check in much earlier than planned. -

Beautiful small house with great location. Lovely hosts (a little French
would help to connect, but even with their little English we got along

we liked the central and easy to find but quiet location, the availabillity of parking in the host's garage, the calm and elegance of the house, the spaciousness and comfort of the en-suite room, excellent bed and bedding. Great location close to Vieux Port and L'abbaye St.Victor with easy access to good local shops. Rooms large and tastefully decorated with lovely pictures and unusual objets d'art. Quiet courtyard garden for breakfast and relaxing. Mme. Depieds very helpful. Recommend Bar de l'Abbaye round the corner for quick but good lunch and wonderful sunset views in the evening.
