Charming hotel. We had a nice room, clean, small but good! We had a room
without a private bathroom, but the shared bathroom looked brand new and

I have stayed in the Excelsior several times and as I have friends who live in Nice and I can visit them easier as I now know my way to their house. I first stayed in the Excelsior with the Travel Department. I found both the rates and the location were good. - Location was very convenient. It was close to shopping, eating and sights to see.

Situated in the centre of Nice and within a couple of minutes walk of the main railway station, the hotel had a pretty Mediterranean courtyard garden. The rooms overlooked the garden and hence the hotel was quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful and there was a relaxing atmosphere. The Promenade des Anglais is an easy 10 minute walk. Would stay there again.

It was clean and nice, I've had a lot of great roommates during my stay. It was safe to leave my stuff in the room and not to worry about it. The WCs and the showers are relatively clean. The breakfast is good. If you are looking for cheap but reasonable place to sleep - go for it!

It is clean, easy to find and in a great location. Despite being in the centre of the city's nightlife, it was very quiet. We had a great outlook. -

I liked the professional but relaxed attitude by the staff to guests. I would certainly stay there again. The gentleman on reception was exceptionally helpful and friendly and will be sadly missed if/when he retires. - We liked it very much. Hard to believe it's a 2 star. Very good value for money. Location is next to a pedestrian shopping street. Please note that on foot beaches are more that 15 minutes away. There is a bike station nearby at Notre-Dame. 10 minutes walking from a railway station. Shower is fine, bed is soft and clean. -

Friendly welcome when we arrived and very helpful with anything we needed throughout our stay. Room (No 26) was spacious, really comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen area, and large bathroom with loads of towels. Great shower with plenty of hot water any time of day. The apartment was very clean and close to the railway station.
The staff were very friendly and helpful . The kitchen was well equipped which was great because we like to do a lot of our own cooking . It was very quiet . Just a short stroll to the shops. Would definetly recomend staying here.
