Fantastic guest house in an lovely location in rural Normandy. Beautifully furnished rooms and very comfortable bed. Very warm welcome from Maryse, (including for our baby, who was made a big fuss of, and cot and high chair was provided for him) and a delicious breakfast the next day (local products, wonderful homemade jam etc). We stopped off here on the way down to the south of France and although only 10-15 minute drive from the junction of the autoroute it's a very quiet, peaceful locatio.
όλα τα σχόλια » Our hosts were extremely welcoming, directed us to a very nice place to eat. The room(s) were extremely well suited to a family with two children (adjoining room with bunkbed). A lot of thought had gone into the decor. The breakfast was a very pleasant traditional French one, with lovely homemade jams. The area is beautifully wooded, the towns and villages pretty verging on twee (depending on your taste). I'd imagine it's a good area for cycling. It's pretty close to the main route to Calais bu. Good location for a final night's stopover on the way to Calais. Attractive room with garden view. Be aware that if you arrange to have a meal there you may be eating with the owners as we did, which was interesting as we don't speak much French and they don't speak much English, but we muddled through. The meal was very tasty with the emphasis on local produce (but quite pricey to eat "en famille", the price included drinks but no chance of getting remotely tipsy...). Good breakfast. Very friendly welcome and the host was extremely helpful with local information. The suite was very comfortable and of a good standard and we felt very comfortable and at ease in the family friendly surroundings. Breakfast was very good and I would recommend this tranquil location for couples and small families seeking quiet accommodation in the Normandy countryside. It is ran by a very freindly couple who made us very welcome.It was in a superb position if you like quiet ,away from it all/ tranquil countryside.A beautiful house lovely, comfortable and clean rooms. Would have been nice to have some milk on the tea tray in the room. Not being able to pay by card might be a problem if you were staying more than one night. The "en suite bathroom" in our room wasn't - there was a small screen around the loo, and there was a curtain which could be pulled across between the bedroom area and the shower/loo etc. Not really satisfactory. It was all good although some hot chocolate in the room would have been nice. Nothing springs to mind regarding dislikes.
