Unique place in the Burgundy countryside directly across from Chateau de
Fontaine-Francaise. The canal offered great birding even in November as
well as some native fish. For someone wanting the authentic French
country experience, this is the place. Original architecture is molded
seamlessly into renovations, including a huge 1905 iron cookstove, wood-
burning fireplace, post-and-beam style, and of course the mill gears
reminiscent of the original purpose; the room featured art and

A little hidden as to which building is the actual hotel while driving
through, and parking was not obvious so we had to pull onto the sidewalk
to check in before being told where the parking was. Also innkeepers did
not speak English but we knew that before reserving.
