A modern and design B&B set in the historic centre of Beaune, Le 5 offers suites that are decorated according to one of the five senses: sight, touch, hearing, smell and touch.
The suites at Le 5 feature a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a seating area and wooden floors. The private bathrooms include free toiletries.
Le 5 has a courtyard, and a continental breakfast of hot beverages, French pastries, organic bread, homemade jams, and fruit juices is served daily. Restaurants can be found 100 metres from the B&B.
Le 5 can organise wine tasting sessions in the property’s cellar, and visits of the surrounding area and vineyards upon request.

I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay during my brief
stop in Beaune. Le 5 was only a short walk from the train station and
very easy to find. I was warmly greeted in the courtyard of this
stunning establishment by the beautiful and friendly family who were
hosting me. My room was luxurious, stylish, immaculately clean, modern
and extremely comfortable. It is clear that attention to detail and an
emphasis on quality is a priority at Le 5. The room was huge and

Maria was the best host you can imagine.
Breakfast was not a standard hotel breakfast. There was fresh orange juice, fresh fruit, espresso/ macchiato/ cappuccino, about 6 different kinds of bread, 4 different cheeses, 5 different homemade jams........... Great!!
The design of the rooms are all different, but all great. Done by Maria herself! And the size of the rooms......we had the smallest, but still three times larger then a normal hotel room.

The hotel had an unusual personal and individual touch. Almost perfect location just outside the city-wall. From the first step inside this maison, we experienced personal and professional care.
The breakfast was delicious and the owner was very helpful with practical tasks as well. Free parking just a block away.
The owner was extremely cheerful and welcoming. She was helped by her son, who speaks English, and he was incredibly helpful and enthusiastic. Great breakfast (included) and they even allowed us to keep our food in their fridge while we stayed as there is no individual fridge or microwave in the rooms.
Maria, the owner is a fantastic person and makes you feel at home. The surroundings, the breakfast, the rooms and the service level is top of the line. I will only give my highest recommendation for this lovely and friendly hotel.

The pillows were a little too big/stuffed, -as often in my experience, -so glad I brought my own one this time too.
No aircondition in the room which faced the street.
The only drawback to our room was that there appeared to be a lack of air conditioning, which is quite common in France. It was not a problem for us, as we stayed during perfect weather - warm in the day, cool at night. So, we could open our windows to cool off the room. During hot weather, it could be an issue for some.

The pillows were a bit too large and firm. It was pretty hot while we were there and a fan would have been nice.

i couldn't know the location because it have a small board of the hotel name it felt like it wasn't hotel from outside. Corridor is a little bit dark.
. The stairs in the corridor (red and black) could be better lit.
There was very hot but room has not air conditioner,only fan.
Not everybody speaks English.
