Sharks Bay Umbi offers authentic accommodation overlooking its own private pier and beach. A restaurant, dive centre and supermarket are located within the village complex. Free Wi-Fi is available. Cabins are located on the beach while wooden huts and rooms have Gulf of Aqaba views from the cliffs above. Some are air-conditioned with private bathroom and a TV. A buffet breakfast is available daily in the restaurant. The beach bar provides snacks and drinks under a shaded terrace. Sharks Bay Umbi also has a shuttle is available for Sharm el Sheikh Airport, 1.5 km away. Information about excursions for the Sinai Peninsula can be obtained from the tour desk. Naama Bay is only a 10 km drive while Sharm Old Town is 15 km by car. Tiran Island can be reached by boat from Sharks Bay Umbi.

Really enjoyed my stay here - amazing snorkelling right off the jetty and a pretty beach to swim at. Sharks bay is fairly quiet so a good place to have a relaxing getaway & definitely nicer than Naama Bay or Maya bay. Breakfast was really good & the restaurant food great with plenty of variety. The Bedouin café was well located and having a shisha while watching the sunset is always nice! Would highly recommend this place and the area to stay in.

TIP: Use the reception for Taxi, tours or other excursions and choose to pay the hotel instead of the drivers... it is cheaper and drivers will always try to bargain! Excellent location, and plenty to do around. Great scenery too. Beautiful location to "get away from it all." Lovely private beach and coral reef. You can walk to the end of the pier and snorkel along the coral reef. The staff is friendly and the hotel restaurant, bar and coffee/sheesha lounge are reasonably priced and have nice food. The rooms (beach cabins) are simple and clean. Fantastic place to stay - loved it - very comfortable room - lovely views - a quiet and chilled out place to stay. Great diving school with excellent diving right of the beach or from their boats. Lovely Bedouin Tent to relax in - nice and chilled - no loud music, just right. Friendly hotel staff and good location for diving. Nice food freshly prepared and good value. Bedouin rooms have great views (not all). My room was very close to the beach, good value for money, no animation, possibility of excursions. Staff is lovely, food is great, location breath-taking. A fantastic experience!. The restaurant servers good food with lot of variation, mostly european style. Location, appearance, hassle free, friendly, proximity to sea, great balcony. Food Proximity To Beach. Room with sea view, balcony. Cheap price, lovely location. It was hard to get the information about wireless networks to connect to the internet, had to ask the other tourists! Had to go with another dive company to a few sites as they cancelled some boat trips to the places we wanted to go to. Too much dust, but i would expect that everywhere in Egypt. Loads of mosquitoes! Take an afterbite with you (Insect repellers don't work much). There were lots of mosquitoes at night but that wasn't the hotel's fault! Mosquito nets are provided in the rooms. The location would be a problem if you wanted to party and shop. It is in a little "pod" of similar style hotels about a 15 minute taxi from Na'aama Bay. It is a great place to get away from everything and relax. Could only buy beer - would have been nice to have some wine or a nice cocktail in the Bedouin tent. You could take your own alcohol in but wasn't the same as being able to order a nice chilled bottle of wine or a gin and tonic. The poor communication between the onsite dive school manager and the boat team and divers. Some noise from large Russian hotel along the bay spoils it for all. no alcolic drinks except for beer and wine, a bit far from Naama bay(15 minutes by taxy) so the nightlife near the village is poor. No clear schema on when the diving starts in the morning. Most days we waited +30 minutes before actual takeoff. We missed the change to start first, while we were next to the jetty. poor shower, average food choice,. Room could've been slightly more modern. They need to supply shampoo in the rooms and a shower curtain ...a regular room service is a must ....they also need to supply beach towels too. No cleaning done in the room during our stay. Staff with limited English. Poor customer service and receptionist with poor English. Mosquitos in the room, unreliable internet connection (internet went down for 2 days !), no internet coverage in the huts.
