Loved my stay at the Marriott, location is perfect as very close to Nanjing road and restaurants. Staff were helpful, receptive & professional. Facilities are of course top-notch and very high standards. I would stay here again.

Superb location,great relaxed atmosphere and even thfough in the center of town its like so quiet inside.Lots of privacy and the view is among the best for a city view towards the Huangpu/Lujiazui at the distant.Highly recommended as travelling is made so easy with the easy access to the subway at People square. -

Location is very good, hotel is about 300m from the subway station. If you purpose to stay near the shopping and walking areas this hotel is a perfect place.
Hotel room was clean and cozy in minimalistic style. Breakfast offers in a cafe and contain about 10 different options.

There is a good local network cafe Wagas near the hotel where there is western food and good coffee for China.

The hotel is one of the better one in shanghai for the money. Staff try very hard to make your stay enjoyable. While English is poor from some of the staff we managed to work out what I wanted. I had the bellboys get cabs for me in the pouring rain and did it with a smile. There are two restaurants in the building that are both very good quality but I would have to say the element fresh was very good value for money and the food was fantastic. Great hotel and would stay there again.

Location, location, location!
I stayed here twice. The hotel is close to the train station - People's Square, exit 14. It's in walking distance to East Nanjing Rd without all the noise. You can also walk to the Bund really easily.
The staff are super friendly and speak English well. Breakfast was ok-good as it was included, no complaints there.

The ambience of the hotel was really good all through out the hotel, the
interior design from the lobby to the reception to the restaurants and
especially the rooms is outstanding.
The staff were very helpful and eager to serve in whatever way they can. From helping to arrange sightseeing tours or mapping out places to go, or picking up a taxi.
The staff spoke very good english, especially the concierge.

Good location, just 100 m from Nanjing Road (if you like it), right in the middle between The Bund and People's Park. There surely are other hotels with a prime view, like Hyatt On The Bund, The Peninsula, Shangri-La on the Pudong side of the Huanghu river but compare the rates. The hotel is perfectly located, close to the pedestrian street and public transport, but far enough to not get any noise from it. Lobby is grand, and the open restaurant is excellent, get the grilled salmon for lunch! Gym facilities and pool is fantastic, lots of space and good equipment. The room & bathroom are spacious and well equipped, with complimentary bath salts, fluffy towels, robes and slippers. Hotel in a great location opposite the exhibition centre. A short walk
to the metro and only 1 station from the maglev to the airport. Suite

Everything was excellent: spacious and clean room, impressive lobby,
breakfast buffet with variety choices (both western and Japanese food),
good service and good location (close to the metro station and shopping
streets). We booked train tickets to Beijing and tickets for the
acrobatic show via business centre, this was very convenient. -

business, shopping and sightseeing. The taxi guide is very helpful as
you can just show your location to the driver. And also show him the

... τι λέει ο κόσμος » rs and it's my favourite hotel in shanghai. I'm sure there are more luxurious but this is in a great area for eating and drinking. Rooms are big and clean and they are generous with upgrades. Just don't ever expect them to remember you've been before!
