The "club" category rooms have impressive view over the Bund
and the City, especially the spot scene of Pudong by night. All the
complimentary services are also quite good (permanent access to soft
drinks, some small food, etc.).
Swimming pool in floor 21 is a big plus, for both view and relax after the hot summer weather.

Beddings, blankets and mattresses were very clean and comfortable. Staff were very helpful, there was one who spoke fluent english. The location was absolutely perfect.

perfect location; in the middle between Old Town and Nanjing Road. Close to Pudong. Many small shops and restaurants of different classes in the neighbourhood... - Cleanliness. Great butler and bell boy service. Reception can be improved if they are a little friendlier. Housekeeping is great.

Friendliness of staff - Ale to accommodate to our request for room facing the garden despite room rate for different view.
Speed - Quick in responding to request i.e. mosquito repellant. -

Location is very good, hotel is about 300m from the subway station. If you purpose to stay near the shopping and walking areas this hotel is a perfect place.
Hotel room was clean and cozy in minimalistic style. Breakfast offers in a cafe and contain about 10 different options.

There is a good local network cafe Wagas near the hotel where there is western food and good coffee for China.

The hotel is one of the better one in shanghai for the money. Staff try very hard to make your stay enjoyable. While English is poor from some of the staff we managed to work out what I wanted. I had the bellboys get cabs for me in the pouring rain and did it with a smile. There are two restaurants in the building that are both very good quality but I would have to say the element fresh was very good value for money and the food was fantastic. Great hotel and would stay there again.

The location of this hotel is amazing. It's not far from East Nanjing Road metro station. There is exchange machine in the lobby. The staff speak English and they are very friendly.
The room is cosy and has a bath, what is a really rare thing for China. I am sure that I will stay there every time I come to Shanghai.

We were given a free upgrade upon check-in and stayed in a nice room on the 5th floor. It was really clean, spacious and I really liked the design (a bit kitchy, literally everything in the room was green, but quirky and definitely not your usual hotel room). The hotel is perfectly located, close to the pedestrian street and public transport, but far enough to not get any noise from it. Lobby is grand, and the open restaurant is excellent, get the grilled salmon for lunch! Gym facilities and pool is fantastic, lots of space and good equipment.
