Clean accommodation providing a nice sized room with a kitchen and private bath. The grounds are beautiful with lovely landscaping, walking trails and walks throughout the grounds. The location is quiet and removed from the hubbub of the city. Economical. Supports the University. Nice privacy. -
The cost was really a key factor as to why we chose

Arrived late .. got a great service and a new and better room because the hostess (owner) had a "no show" Great room and so clean .. wonderful .. this is basically more a motel than an backpacker .. And try out the breakfast too .. served by her husband in the coffee shop. 2 hours disappear :-) easily . And the recommendations what to see ... Supe

Staff communicated very well before my arrival to sort out my booking and offer something suitable. The owner gets up to open the adjacent cafe and offer 'real' espresso coffee to those catching the 5 am bus to the ferry terminal for the Prince Rupert sailing at 0730. Not a money maker but a much appreciated service.

Hi Vancouver was in a perfect location for shopping and bars and there was plenty of nights organised by the hostel for example comedy nights, a night at the hockey. It was just what I needed for a quick solo trip to Vancouver. Simple, clean room, comfy bed, tv and a basic bathroom. Good value for money considering what I would have had to pay at a hotel. Also the central location made it easy for me to get around and walk to most of what I wanted to see.

I thought that this was really awesome. I had some troble sleeping at first since I'm not used to sleep in the same room as others, but when I changed for a private one it was so luxurious. Even the honeysmell of the soap. I loved the design and that the kitchen was so fresh. And the bog windows displaying the mountains was such a great deal. -

Massive communal kitchen with plenty of space to cook & store food. Delicious meals at the cafe. Very friendly staff. Bus stop right outside the front door.

The place was clean, tidy and very well organised. The staff were extremely accommodating and could not have done enough to help you ie the manager drove us to a pickup point for us to join our ski trip at 0700hrs in the morning as we had a lot of luggage. The owners Gerald and Abbie live in the hostel and take extra care to keep a high standard of comfort, care and extra service. I prefer them over anything more ritzy but where the owner is never on site so you are neglected or just a number.

・Staff are very friendly
・Clean rooms (There is a strong policy for bedbugs)
・Some people say this hostel is a bit noisy because the first floor is a bar but for me it's no problem. I stayed on the second floor (i.e. room 2XX) in this hostel twice and I didn't hear any noise from the bar. -

I was in awe about the Jericho Beach location and the quiet location of the hostel. Spent lots of time in Vancouver and never experienced such a perfect location in terms of price, bus connections to downtown and friendly ness. -
Washrooms are good, staff is the best I've ever met, big kittchen, good wifi almost everywhere.

The atmosphere of the same sun backpackers was great, the staff there are very helPful in assisting with all questions and queries about Vancouver. The dorms are very comfortable and location is excellent. Transportation is very close, the sky train is only a few blocks away and is also a great mode of transportation to get around Vancouver. Great

The staff were great. They put on some daily activities, so you were sure to get involved and meet new people. Breakfast was good, bagels, fresh fruit and little buns. There is a bar on the ground floor which has great cheap food and drink offers. If you forget anything - the staff got you covered.

I had a private room for a really good price, though small I had a fridge and lots of cupboards above the bed. Comfortable and quiet despite having a bar downstairs, soundproofing was very good couldn't hear other guests when in my room. We loved our stay in this hotel! We got a room with a private bathroom, and the room was very comfortable and clean. Hotel's staff was also very friendly and helpful. The hotel's location is great - was close to everything we needed in downtown. The price was great too! I highly recommend this hotel and we will stay there again next time we are in Victoria.

We only stayed two nights and weren't there to use it for the full range of services but found it was awesome for what we used such as the showers were big with good pressure, kitchen was good, room was great for value (twin room). Location was short walk to the main Downtown attractions. -

I liked that I could sit up in my lower bunk w/o hitting the upper bunk framework or having to duck low to get out & up. The proximity to the water & the downtown core was excellent, the staff very friendly & approachable. Great place... -
