A friend and I stayed at this bed and breakfast for a week. The hosts were very hospitable; they took an interest in our activities and offered helpful advice. I liked the secure underground parking, the breakfast buffett was the best I've ever seen & the rooms were excellent! Clean, luxurious, roomy & very pleasant to stay at while away for business. I will definitley be back the next time Im in Ottawa. -

Had a wonderful stay in Ottawa. This is a small inn run by a couple Francine and Dan. We loved the adjoining suites for our extended family from out of town, the large TV screens. This place has everything. You don't even have to pull out your laptop! Computer AND PRINTER all in your room. Free laundry on one floor, exercise room, great free breakfast and close enough to walk downtown to the tourist areas. Four or so blocks down side street to Rideau Canal -- great walking site! Will definitely stay here again if I have the pleasure of another trip there.

The hotel absolutely accommodated my somewhat specific requests about not having a room close to elevator, ice machine, not having an adjoining room and otherwise potentially noisy areas. The result was a fabulously quiet and relaxing 5-day stay. -

Our room rate was $111 plus tax. It was a suite with lots of space. A
kitchenette fully stocked with necessary dishes, utensils, pots pans,

The Cartier Place is a wonderful hotel. Centrally located to many of
the attractions. One feature that we enjoyed was the kitchenette.
Helped save us a little money by cooking breakfast in the morning so we
were not rushed to get out of the hotel in the mornings to find
something to eat.

It's centric. My room and my bed were big. Good/affordable meals. - The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful, especially Pierre who was working the front desk on Dec 31st and Jan 1st he was outstanding in his customer service. Our interaction with Pierre made the trip memorable.

The familiarity of the rooms, being a university residence, as our son just graduated one year ago from an Ottawa University. I really liked the ability to just relax and have the full-sized fridge. The bathroom is great for a travelling person or couple.

I felt secure in the building, staff were all friendly and helpful. The firm foam bed, had a great sleep on it. They stored a package that was too cumbersome to take on another leg of my trip till I got back to fly home. Very accommodating of them.

I was very impressed with the front desk assistance. I had booked with letsbookhotel.com, left my full name on the information yet somehow letsbookhotel.com had my first name as my last name and N/A as my first. Bryan at the front desk couldn't find me in the computer due to this fact and took the time to phone letsbookhotel.com to get what extra

I really enjoyed the king size bed. The room was quiet and clean.
The best part about the hotel was the location. I came in to see the CG on the Hill and it was a pleasant walk to the hill.

I especially appreciated being able to use the swimming pool at the
Marriot (which was connected to the Inn by a walkway) because their pool
was closed for my four day stay. -
The front staff were friendly and very helpful. My room was spacious and very clean. I would stay at the Hampton Inn again

A member of the staff notified my kids and I that there was a fire work show outside, this was a nice experience because we were in the pool at the time.

The major plus point for this hotel is the location. The hotel itself is
not bad but does need updating and redecorating. Upon arrival we had to
park the car and this could have been a bit of a problem as there are
not many spaces for a hotel of this size. Luckily we found the one
remaining space and left the car there for 2 nights at $15 plus tax

night. Ok so the price is in line with other public car parks but as a
guest of the hotel it could have been free in line with other hotels.

The location is unbeatable; Capital Hill forms an unlikely trio with Fairmount Chateau Laurier and The Elgin Hotel in giving you prime access to the centre of Ottawa, two blocks from Parliament etc.
The room, while basic, had all the amenities and was cleaned to a high standard every day.
The price is excellent compared to similarly positioned hotels. If you pay 50$ per person, per night as we did, you cannot expect this hotel to be of a standard found at Laurier or Elgin or any high-hotels!!!
