Apartment Katarina is more like a stylish home than a holiday apartment.The furnishings, decor and facilities were exceptional, beds reallycomfortable and bathroom, superb. We were visiting family who livenearby and if this apartment were still available, would stay here forall future visits. The owner is a lovely lady, most helpful. We had avery relaxed and comfortable break. Many thanks. Everything was perfect. This is an excellent place to stay. It is wonderfully appointed, and in a great location. You can enjoy your food in this top class restaurant whilst looking into the open kitchen. Manoir Stuivenberg serves a classical, Flemish-French cuisine where taste and quality are a top priority. You're welcome to take your aperitif or coffee in the salon with its real English character. When the weather is nice you can enjoy the patio: the broad parasols, teak seats, terracotta pots with buxus and bay trees, trained vines and a fig tree are bound to get you in a good mood.
Manoir Stuivenberg is also the proud owner of a Michelin-Star and in addition to that Michelin has awarded them with three 'red knives and forks' which means 'pleasant staying and eating'!
Beside the 2 set menus there are also a number of seasonal menus. But you're very welcome to dine à la carte , if that's what you prefer. A comprehensive French wine list is awaiting you.

Information about the area
Tourist information Museum Constant Permeke
The Constant Permeke Museum is put up in a house called "De Vier Winden", which the artist has build himself in 1929. Constant Permeke (°1886) lived there until his death in 1952.
The province of West-Flanders bought the house eight years later and set up the museum as a commemoration to the greatest and most important Flemish expressionist. This way a very important part of Constant Permeke's oeuvre stayed together. This unique collection contains more than 150 works of art, including 80 paintings. Almost all his sculptures are on display, as well as numerous big drawings.
The personal documents and objects that belonged to the artist that are still present in the studio and the reconstruction of the original garden, take you back to his world.
Work by his father Henri Permeke, his son-in-law Pierre Devos and by his friends Frits Van den Berghe, Oscar Jespers and Henri Puvrez complete this.
Emiel Veranneman, cousin of Constant Permeke, completely renovated the reception room in 1988.
