Leuven City Hostel is located 700 metres from Leuven's Central Market Square and features a furnished garden terrace, an on-site bar and communal areas including a living area with a cast iron fireplace. There is a wide variety of cafés, restaurants and supermarkets in the immediate surroundings of Leuven City Hostel. The city's Old Square with its many casual bars and restaurants is a 3-minute bicycle ride away. Leuven's Train Station is located is 8 minutes' walk from the hostel and offers direct connections with Brussels in 20 minutes. Brussels Airport is 15 minutes away by train.

On the morning of my arrival I arrive very early in Leuven, way too early for check in. The girl invited me in anyway, could store my luggage, warm up, charge my laptop and even got coffee. Very nice and flexible gesture. The shower was cold one evening, but they reacted very adequate with fixing it. Hôtel très charmant et familial avec des chambres très confortable. On peut sortir et entrer comme on veut et l'hôtel est non loin du centre-ville qui est très attractive et très jolie surtout la nuit. Je recommande cet hôtel à tout le monde et je reviendrais sans hésiter =).

Free tea and coffee all day which is great, and lovely surroundings, in an excellent location at the heart of Leuven. As a hostel, I recommend very highly!. The staff were very nice. The breakfast included was fairly good. I stayed in a room with 6 beds but the size of the room was big enough for it not to feel too jammed. The location is great. Good location, near to the train station. The room is clean and the bed is comfortable. wifi security - access system (personal code) pillows and duvet free tea and coffee. Open kitchen where you make your own food/breakfast. The showers were clean. It was very clean with nice atmosphere and recently renovated. Great location, easy access to computer and free wifi. The guy is a bit overly precise on reception times and breakfast. I brought my own porridge but couldn't get milk at 10:01... It is a hostel, you could do 10:05, not a big effort but people would appreciate that! Just, that you don't feel you could sit in the kitchen / living room in a relaxed way.Les toilettes et les douches ne sont pas dans la chambre mais ce n'est pas dérangeant. . the main-door knob was the trouble maker; it waits for a special twist before it given in . And if its winter, you stand outside and shiver and keep twisting the door knobs......... nothing. The front door is difficult to open. The water pressure at 7 a.m.(when others are using the showers, too) on the second floor shower isn't very good. Nothing comes to my mind. The room at the first floor is a little noisy. the armchair in the double room - it takes away too much space. The restriction of having to check in before 8. You have to pay the whole amount for the booked days during the check-in. If you finally check-out earlier, you will not get any refund. Two share toilets outside room whose doors open out. Couldn't use washing machine. The hostel's owner is sometimes not adequate and is committing horrible things - sending out visitors because of too loud speach and so on. Mind the opening hours. Check-in UNTIL 8pm. Locker is too small. mixed dorms. Staff could be more friendly. Reception's working time. The lighting in the main room was too dark. Most everyone staying there is a student but there wasn't enough light to study by - even though there were overhead fixtures in place. The room was cold. A towel in the room would have been nice. Automatic lights in bathroom and toilet go out very fast! Breakfast could be better. the noise at night; guests are too loudy when they come back from nightlife and smash with the doors. The staff isn't really helpful or friendly; the room for 4 people were a little bit too small;. Veryimpolite and unfriendly stuff. The guy behind the desk was the worst experience of behavior. The rooms are noisy.its hard to sleep anight. The breakfast is poor only cornflakes and a yoghurt some frooits are available.
