  This was our second stay at the Hotel Royal. We returned to it because we enjoyed our first stay so much. This is a little gem of a hotel that deserves more than the three stars it currently has; it is at least a three-plus if not a four star standard. The division between the sleeping and sitting areas make them more like suites than just rooms. Anne-Aymon - From the moment we arrived the lady at reception was the most pleasant person you could wish to meet, even to the parking meter we were helped and offered for our luggage to be taken to the hotel. The booking in was quick and easy, within minutes we were in our room. The room was above what we expected, very clean, comfortable and just everything we wanted was available.   We stayed at the Hotel Donny at the beginning and end of our four weeks holiday in Europe. With car travelling time to Calais of just over one hour, it is a pleasant hotel in which to stay overnight. - very spacious room. very friendly staff.nice relaxing hotel close to town centre but peaceful and secure car parking a big plus.
