Peacefully situated on the slopes above the Lake Zell, the family-run Jausenstation Pfefferbauer features an à-la-carte restaurant serving regional cuisine, a large terrace with picturesque views, and rooms with a balcony and a flat-screen satellite TV. Free Wi-Fi is available. All rooms are decorated in contemporary Alpine style with wooden furnishings and floor heating. Each room also have an en-suite marble bathroom with a fitted shower and provided with a hairdryer. Guests can also relax in the garden with a children’s playground, and there is also a play room for children. A ski storage room and free private parking are available as well. The Pfefferbauer Jausenstation is a 5-minute drive from the Schmittenhöhe Ski Resort, and a 15-minute drive from both the Kitzsteinhorn and the Saalbach-Hinterglemm Ski Areas. Cross-country skiing and tobogganing are possible 10 minutes away by car. Indoor ice skating facilities can be reached in 5 minutes by car or a 25-minute walk. Lake Zell is a 15-minute walk from the Pfefferbauer Hotel. The town of Zell am See is a 5-minute drive or a 30-minute walk away. The Tauern Spa thermal bath and the Golfclub Zell am See-Kaprun can both be reached in 10 minutes by car.

Our trip had us staying here for 4 nights, 2 and then another 2 about 10 days later. We got to stay in two very different rooms, which I will describe in a minute. The hotel location is superb, if you have a car, since it is too high up to walk and taxis are rather expensive (10 or 20 euros from town, depending upon the whim of the driver.) The view from the rooms is exceptional, from way up the hill looking down on the lake and mountains. Breakfasts were above average, but hardly any fruit.
όλα τα σχόλια » A perfect hideaway! The room was very spacious and comfortable, with a stunning view over the valley, lake and mountain peaks. The owners of the family hotel are farmers who have lived on this piece of land for several hundred years. The family runs the place on their own, there are no hired staff. The locally produced food is perfectly natural. Everything was excelent.. The room was very clean, the view to the lake and mountain was breathtaking. It is a family run hotel and we felt so comfortable with their hospitality. We had dinner on our last night and the food was very authentic and fantastic!. This hotel has to be in one of the most stunning locations in the world! The staff are friendly, the apartment we were allocated was excellent (but no lake view), the breakfasts are great and the restaurant is also very, very good. Super, super, super: view, cleanliness, rooms, peacefull, breakfast, staff-family,... everything. Hotell even have their own cows. We could travell again to Austria only for this hotell!. All were fine, location, far from noise, clean, comfort, "I don't recommend if you don't havr a car, Otherwise it's fantastic" Thank you for the madam in receiption and her husband,. Staff were welcoming and helpful, and the cleanliness of the place was excellent. The view from the balcony was breathtaking. Breakfast was very good, and the evening meal was good. spacious apartment, very clean, so beautiful internal design, excellent location if you have a car, kitchen is fully equipped and friendly staff. Superb view high above the lake shore from the balcony. Welcome staff. Good food for dinner at the restaurant. Comfort and big room. Staff are really friendly and the breakfast is just too much to finish in one sitting. The location and the view are just amazing. very friendly staff, great location with spectacular view over Zell Am See lake, highly recommended. wonderful view of the lake cleanliness of the room helpful personel variety of breakfast. Amazing views, comfortable modern accommodation, extensive breakfast. Beautiful views, non-smoking, very good staff. Only one access road up a very steep hill. This road was blocked for several hours (once by builders and once by road workers, therefore no fault of the hotel) on two days. We had booked a lake view room months ago but, due to a mix-up, it was allocated to someone else, and although we were given a much larger apartment at no extra cost, the lack of view was disappointing as we are keen photographers. We would happily have traded the extra space for the promised view. -. 50 Euro for cleaning, I was surprised at check out, it was written under the room description ( the reception showed it to me at the check out) while this 50 euro should be under the " important information" section as i always see in other appartments. No tea/coffee making facilities available for the rooms, and they could benefit from corkscrews/bottle openers so that you could take advantage of the fridge. Hotel is on a steep hill, so guests should be aware. Benefit from having a car. nothing. No elevator. Nothing. need to have some amenities in the toilet, otherwise we were obliged to buy and use ours. A taxi or car is recommended. The balcony isn't separated.
