Our stay here was perfect. Having stayed in the Campbell Street Meriton before we knew the quality was great but we were looking for something closer to Surry Hills this time.
Danks Street is a great location just far enough from the city to escape the hustle bustle and enjoy some boutique shopping and delicious food. But all the time only a short bus or train ride to all the places you want to go; Circular Quay, The Rocks, Bondi and, the whole reason we were there, the ANZ stadium for the Ble. όλα τα σχόλια
Waterloo is an up & coming area of Sydney. That being said, on our 1st taxi ride from downtown area, we were a bit nervous about the area. When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised that the neighborhood was an area which was in the process of being upgraded and our immediate area was all done and people living all around the hotel area. With a small store around the corner, we were able to buy a bus pass of 10 tickets and that reduced the cab fare hugely. There are some nice little rest.
The apartments are very roomy and clean. We stayed in a two bedroom family unit which was on two levels, upstairs being living area/dining, bedroom and separate bathroom, downstairs is main bedroom and Ensuite with a bath. We found them very family friendly a d well equipped for either a short stay or longer stay with full kitchen and laundry. We faced the main road which was a little noisy however all bedrooms are at the back of the unit making for a restful sleep. A short walking distance.
We arrived early in the morning after an overnight flight and were pleasantly surprised that we were given an apartment right away and didn't have to wait until official check-in time. Belinda at reception was super friendly and helpful, even escorted us to our apartment since the route was a bit complicated to explain. Wonderful service from Belinda.
Apartment itself was clean and fully equipped, supermarket to buy groceries was close by and frequent bus connections to downtown.
The apartment was spacious, stylish, modern and had every facility for comfort. Supermarkets and restaurants were just minutes away.The staff were excellent with particular thanks to Lon who gave us outstanding assistance. Many thanks, Lon. We make regular visits to Sydney and now that we have discovered these apartments, we would not stay anywhere else.
Staying in this apartment gave us the opportunity to come and go as we pleased. We were on a 3 week holiday, so it was ideal that we had facilities to cook and do some washing.
This apartment is within many different bus routes into the city and we never had to wait long for a bus.
We liked the fact there were good leisure facilities that we could use.
Great service, staff are very friendly and helpful. Since all the
apartments have different configurations, they took the extra trouble
to allow me to choose which unit I want. I had the perfect unit, it
was clean, comfortable and feels like home. The area is also very
nice. There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. Coles is just
next door.
We found it hard to find even with a gps, but after that the staff were
very helpful and friendly. Even the security guard was very helpful and
friendly. We were able to leave our car there until 2pm in the carpark,
at no extra cost. A short cab ride to Darling Harbour was great. I will
stay there for my next visit to Sydney.
Everything about these apartments is good. The staff are extremely helpful - nothing is too much trouble. The apartments are very well equipped and are very clean. The bus connection right into the city are about 200 mts. From the apartment and the supermarket is about the same distance.
We would recommend to all.
The facilities were excellent and the service was quick and efficient. It was a lovely apartment with all the features we needed for our stay. We had a small issue with the internet upon arrival and this was corrected very quickly by the staff who were so helpful. We would certainly go back for another stay!.
Great, spacious and very helpful staff. A 10-15 minute bus trip into the centre of Sydney but very spacious with kitchen if you want to cook your own food. Lots of room to relax and spread out if you are tired after a day sight seeing. Pool and gym a short walk away but we never used them during our stay.
Our 2brm spacious apartment with a parkview was comfortable & clean. All staff were friendly & courteous. Closeness to CBD and airport was an advantage. Coles supermarket, food outlets, cafes, regular bus service and/or taxi service, park walks or walks to view art or fashion were an added bonus.
The apartment we were offered was wonderfully spacious. We were very happy with the design of the apartment with a separate study, large balconies and spacious bedroom. We have now decided to always stay at meriton no matter where we travel. We just hope they have the same spec no matter the location.
The apartment was well designed for a family; the separate bedrooms allowed privacy between sleeping areas, the cooking facilities were very good and the living room are large enough for a family of four to relax. Well done we would certainly consider staying at the Meriton again in the future.
The staff were exceptionally friendly and so very helpful. I really
loved our apartment, so spacious and very clean. 10 mins from
airport by taxi. Very close to cbd in Sydney. The swimming pool
complex is great/clean,with sauna, spa and many pools of varying
sizes,and a Gym.
The staff were very helpful & particularly Tegan who went to great trouble to assist my husband with directions to (a difficult to find) Europcar drop off point for our hire car. Tegan was very practical & really understood from a tourist's perspective.

2). Facilities - apartments were very well appointed. 3) Staff - extremely friendly and helpful.
Really spacious, clean, attractive and comfortable accommodation. It was easy to get to other parts of the city by car or public transport. The cleaning staff were discrete, pleasant and efficient. All facilities were very good.
It was close to where I was located for my business. Great supermarket around the corner. Plenty of room in the apartment - great place to stay. Will be going to Sydney again shortly and will look to see if I can re-book.
The apartment was spacious and nicely appointed with everything we could want. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The Waterloo area is very convenient to everything including easy access to public transport. Loved it.
The location and the view from our balcony (Moore golf club) were great. We had booked the two bedroom apartment which was very spacious.Many facilities just minutes away (supermarket,cafes,restaurants,etc).
the partment we had (2 bedroom) was fantastic and fitted our needs, as I was travelling with my brother. Iloved the layout with one bedroom on top and then the stairs with living area and second bedroom.
The spaciousness of the room - the cleaning service and the helpfulness of the staff.
Also Dank Street was ideally situated for us to visit our daughter & family who lived just around the corner.

the spaciousness, very roomy apartment, had all the necessities for cooking in; quiet, even thought we were right on a major road. The staff were happy to help with any problems very promptly.

Everything. Best hotel/apartments I've stayed in. Huge rooms, 2 levels, park view, large comfy sofa, shops around the corner, 10 mins to the city. The Meriton is just the place to be!.
What amazing rooms you have.. So big!!! Nice to not feel cramped up in a room just cause your staying in a capital city especially with kids... loved it!!! .We'll worth the money :).
I liked everything-could fault nothing. Value for money was excellent. Location is great with all necessary shops in walking distance. Did not feel like I was in middle of Sydney.
The apartment was huge!!! So so spacious! Very comfortable bed &
clean large bathrooms. Only $25 taxi to & from the airport! Very
close to Surry Hills & Alexandria.
The bus into the city was only a minute's walk away. The supermarket and other eateries are close by. The accommodation was clean and spacious. We would stay here again.
The staff at The Meriton are excellent. We were moving to Sydney and
they helped with scanning and faxing information to realestate agents.

We only stayed here as a one night stop over in Sydney. It was a lot cheaper than the airport hotels even with cab fares back and forth. Very roomy and clean.

The Staff were very professional. Units were clean , well maintained and daily serviced. Whole building including parking area was very secure.
The road noise but it is a busy sydney road, but thoughtfully the bedrooms are at the rear so you don't hear this of a night.
We liked everything about this apartment - nothing we didn't like.
There was one night when there was a lot of noise, a party in a room nearby. We had to speak to security 3 times before the noise died down.
Our room wasn't serviced on the day before we left - we were told that this was because it was our last night. I've never stayed anywhere before where my bed hasn't been made up for me. That said, I rang reception and they sent someone to do it for us.
The noise from the main street can be loud.
The location is also quite far from the train station so I had to rely on busses (could be quite stressful unless you know the bus routes very well) and taxis (super expensive and costs about 10-13AUD for a 5-7 minutes ride to the nearest train station). Other than that, everything else is perfect.
A little bit pricy, but we were in Sydney.
Nothing, we would stay again and recommend these apartments to others.

The swimming pool complex is a short walk away through a lovely park. It
services the whole villiage as well as other Hotels in the area. I
personally prefer a pool inside the hotel grounds,however I did find it
to be void of a crowd.
Nothing you could do but the traffic noise didn't make it very pleasant sitting on the balcony. Fortunately, it was find with the glass door closed.
Parking is expensive in Sydney. The kitchen had all basic equipment but would have benefited from a few extras such as scissors and a garlic press.

The spa facilities were located a few minutes away at an other building.
I was under the impression that the sports and swimming facilites were on the same sight, if they had been we would have used them. it would be good to advise that these are on a different site.

The unit that we stayed was too near the highway, kind of noisy from the traffic. We could not open the sliding doors to emjoy the fresh air as it was just too noisy from traffic.
The ventilation of the unit needs to be improved, may be installed a exhaust fan? for those who do not like to sleep in air cond room. Thks.

Our apartment faced the highway so it definitely wouldn't have
suited a relaxing weekend away. It was absolutely perfect for
business though.
It is too noisy to sit out on the main balcony fronting onto the main road but I must say the soundproofing was excellent as once the door was shut the traffic noise was minimal.
The dishwasher didn't clean properly and quite a number of the
powerpoints were difficult to turn on.
Just a little clinical - very clean lines / minimalistic. Parking
could be cheaper for hotel guests.

A few small issues with the cleaning - my son found a cigarette butt on
the lounge and an empty soft drink container on a dining chair.
C & D block scenario, got lost getting to the car park! LOL A bit of a hike getting around when in high heels.
Everything was great.
All the ceiling lights above our bed were flashing on and off and this got very irritating, it was mentioned to staff but nothing was done to fix the problem. Was also not made aware of a Bond on the room, at the time of booking this should have been specified so adequate funds could be available.
Air conditioning struggled to get temperature down in the one bedroom, but overcame this by opening the window for fresh air.
Rain and being sick and it is your fault!

Bathroom a bit small you had to close the door to access the toilet. We had a one bedroom apartment which was on street level facing South Dowling Street, so there is some road noise day and night.
it was a little difficult to find with sat nav using the Danks Street address.

Room was a little smaller than expected from the view online but this could have been due to early check in.
Not used to apartments as I usually stay in hotels but staying in serviced apartments I expected the bed to be made and the towels refreshed.
Traffic noise a bit loud - but when patio doors are closed there is no noise at all. Shower's pressure was a bit low.
