  The location is very good at the intersection of Retiro & Microcentre. The street (Maipu) is not particularly attractive but walking righy from the hotle takes you to the beautiful San Martin Plaza and it is only a block from Florida St., the pedestrian shopping street and on the way is the excellent restaurant TanCat. I loved the full length mirrors and other mirrors in the room. The windows were soundproof what a delight. It is a great boutique hotel.   The hotel is close of most importants touristics points of Buenos Aires' downtown. The staff of hotel, in most of situations, is very polite, mainly Pamela. She is very kind. The price is little high and the acoustic isolation of our room was terrible. But, in general, it was a good accomodation.

We ordered room service one evening. Food was excellent and price was much lower than any other hotel we've stayed at.

  From reading other reviews before we chose Galarias Hotel, other reviewers mentioned that the entrance to the hotel is on a small narrow street. This is true, but it is just a half a block west of a main shopping pedestrian walkway. If you like being in the daily hustle- bustle of the locals, this is a good spot.
