I would suggest having both types of pillows in the room or a note telling visitors down pillows are available upon request. Our room was wonderful, with very, very comfortable beds. The location so close to downtown was a huge plus, with us not needing to take our car out at all.   I was traveling on my own. I felt very safe at the Senator Inn and Spa. After being in my car for many hours, I loved working out in the very nice lap pool and relaxing in the jacuzzi. I have already told my girlfriends that we need to have a girls week end away shopping in Kittery and Free port and then go to the Senators Inn - We stayed overnight twice on our way to and from Delaware. The first time we were upgraded to a really nice, large room with a desk. The second time, the room was more modest but still comfortable. The pool was awesome for a keen swimmer. It even had lane lines for lap swimming. And the restaurant was really good. Breakfast was better than most free continentals.

  The staff were superb. The location on the Bar Harbor coast was unbeatable. The buildings and grounds are exceptionally well maintained. My wife and I celebrated our 30th anniversary and spent six nights at Bar Harbor Inn, and my wife has since told me that my selection of hotels was perfect. The lobster pie was incredible! - Great location, very clean, nice room, easy to park next to the room, great continental breakfast, great view of the ocean. It was a short walk to town.   Our rooms were very large with great toiletry amenities. The hotel is in a great location, just 5 minutes ride to Acadia Visitor Center and to the restaurants, shopping and pier. The big indoor pool with the hot tub was a great addition to relax after a long day of hiking. There is also an outdoor pool, but we didn't use it. The view out of the window in our room or in the great room were worth the price of the stay. The evenings had a pianist with fingers that danced across the keys stimulating memories of yesterday. Both of the pools were spectacular with the indoor pool area reminiscent of scenes from Cocoon. The view from the Looking Glass has to be the best view in the area.

  Thanks to letsbookhotel.com I was able to get a great rate for two weekday nights at the Meadowmere Resort in Ogunquit, Maine. Check in was quick and smooth with a very pleasant fellow at the front desk. The room was in the main building on the second floor and there was an elevator close by. Had two twin size beds that were quite comfortable, along with flat screen cable tv and small refrigerator. My wife and I used the in - It was clean, comfortable and a lot of fun for the kids. They have a movie theater on site w/ free movies 3 times a day. There was a large indoor pool and "Roman spa". There was also a game room with a pool table, air hockey and various arcade games. It was really great to have so much indoor stuff to do during the winter vacation. The staff was very friendly and helpful as well. I would definitely go back here again.

  The resort felt like a true New England Resort. I loved that it was removed from the hustle and bustle. The grounds were impeccably maintained. The into town was convenient and fun!! - Great facilities with lots of recreation options including heated fresh water pool, salt water pool and hot tub right on the ocean. Room was superb.
