  We needed an overnight stopover near to Stirling on a Pitlochry to Ludlow journey. This was ideal-no nonsense-good value for money. The feature we liked best was the faultless detailed personalised letter at the property telling us everything logistic that we needed to know.related to our stay.   I liked the fact it was a lodge with my own door going out onto a small verandah. I had my dog with me and this was great for her to get out and in. Staff were all very friendly and helpful, also very dog friendly and made a fuss of Molly. Ian made sure we were happy with everything. Dogs were allowed into the bar area whic - Privacy to chalet and car parking at the door. Chosen as dog made welcome and access for exercise easy. Good freshly cooked food, good portions including an excellent choice for breakfast. Bed comfortable, en.suite and facilities for hot drinks. Have used again and will do so in future for one night stop over. We found the staff to be very helpful and the open fire in main building was a welcome sight in the cold weather.
