  A perfect place to stay and immerse yourself in the hustle and bustle of Th Khao San road! We had a deluxe room at the back of the hotel (no windows), so didn't hear any of the noise from the street at the front (and it does get noisy)! The next morning I paid 20 baht and got freshly cooked fried rice from a street vendor - much nicer! All in al - The hotel is quite good, the staff suggested taking a windowless room which is more calm and quiet if we prefer to have a rest after a long journey. And it was a great idea. The AC is working seamlessly, so the window is not neccesssary if you just need a place to sleep in the very centre of Bangkok. And the swimming pool at the top is a good idea (if you can make it on time, as there is a lot to do and it is not easy to get home before midnight). When checking out you can leave the luggage in

  Stayed with husband and daughter 13 years for 2 nights. The hotel is good for those who want to see the historical sights. Very nice hotel location. The boat, which serves as a public transport for 15 baht per person can gain access to the city center. And these trips are replaced by a tour of the canals. And there is a pier. From the - I stayed at Erawan House twice during this trip to Thailand. The important aspects for me are - location, quietness and security, then staff and cleanliness. Erawan House was excellent in all aspects. Location: excellent - very quite and within easy walking distance to anywhere around the Khao San Road area. Security: felt as though my belongings and myself were safe all the times. Staff: were lovely; very helpful (eg: made phone calls for us), friendly and fun. I would definitely stay again

  The bed was the hardest yet on my 3 month trip in S.E.Asia, but we solved it by putting a the mattress from an extra-bed on top. It was very comfortable. Unlike many other hotels/hostels in the same area, there was air and space - in the outdoor restaurant, the garden and the courtyard for parking. There was a washing machine! Very good. This is not a place for people how wanna stay on their own, party all night or belong to the lonely Planet crowd but for travelers with an open mind and the wish to socialize and chill out in the middle of bangkok (though it is an oasis of calm) at a wonderful guesthouse directly located to the river, it is the place to be! The place consists of a wooden building over the water and has a big open hut area that you can sit and relax in. We stayed in cheaper 450 baht room and it is basic but comfortable. This is no 5 star but more than adequate for what we required. It is very close to Kao - This place is great. I'm not really sure much else can be said. The price, the people, the location. I maybe would have passed it over if it hadn't been on the suggestion of a friend, but I'm so glad that I listened to him, as I don't think I would have had a better time anywhere else in BKK. The common area makes it easy and comfortable to get to know people from around the world, so it's great for solo travelers.   The stuff was very nice and friendly, the day we have checked out we had a late fly back, so we left our backpacks at the storage room and went to the city, after all day we needed a shower (really) and there was no problem for us to use one in dormitory (we even got new towels).
