  Spent five days here. Requested ground floor room which they provided. Large room with good size bathroom and small garden out back. Bed was hard. They put a comforter over the mattress which made a bit of difference. Pool is great. This property is split into three areas. We were in the tower part with the big pool away from the beach. Khao Lak is a great place to visit, but you do require transport such as a scooter if you wish to get around. Taxi are on,ly 150b to the main area of town but may be more at night. If you wish to chill by the pool or beach and eat in the restaurants in the surrounding area which there is a lot to choose from transport is not a problem.

  Beach was right across the street! The hotel was very quiet and relaxing. A bit far away from Khao Lak, about a 300 Bht cab ride each way. There were restaurants that were walking distance from us very good and cheap. The rooms were very large, clean decent beds.   Where do I start with this hotel... Absolutely divine! Beautiful hotel, beautiful grounds, beautiful food in restaurants, option of bars. In the middle of khoa lak centre. I absolutely loved it here. Fantastic place of you want to take children, there's a separate pool that can be used and an adult 'peace' pool that could not be used by children... was die leute sagen » . Stayed here for 3 nights and wished that we'd stayed longer! Most definitely a 5* resort and highly, highly recommended. Also had a follow up e-m - I was there for my sisters wedding & the resort was amazing! Great food/service, staff amazing, fabulous views, swim up bar great & pool for kids so great for your family. My son loved it there too! We stayed at the pool villas which I recommend highly if you have kids. I would definitely come back & am planning to stay at The Sands again.

  We loved our stay, had a great room by the pool. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the gardens were beautiful . Being low season there was a construction site next door, but this was a minor inconvenience. The hotel is in a beautiful position , right on the beach. - Extremely friendy staff all over the hotel.
