This is not a place for people how wanna stay on their own, party all night or belong to the lonely Planet crowd but for travelers with an open mind and the wish to socialize and chill out in the middle of bangkok (though it is an oasis of calm) at a wonderful guesthouse directly located to the river, it is the place to be! It is definitely one of the best places to stay at in Bangkok as it is quiet by the riverside and you can relax and chat and drink beer with the other travellers. The place consists of a wooden building over the water and has a big open hut area that you can sit and relax in. We stayed in cheaper 450 baht room and it is basic but comfortable. This is no 5 star but more than adequate for what we required. It is very close to Kao - This place is great. I'm not really sure much else can be said. The price, the people, the location. I maybe would have passed it over if it hadn't been on the suggestion of a friend, but I'm so glad that I listened to him, as I don't think I would have had a better time anywhere else in BKK. The common area makes it easy and comfortable to get to know people from around the world, so it's great for solo travelers.
