Everything you need for a layover at the airport...Shower, tv, coffe and tea pot and close to restaurants. You need a boarding pass to get to it...and maybe a reservation confirmation as we'll as it is located in the transit terminal. Look for signs for the Rijk museum and then you will see signs for the mercure hotel. -

This is a brand new hotel with very well organized room space. A standard twin room is not very big, but arrangement is such that you have sufficient space for everything. We had a stopover in Schiphol and booked one nights accommodation at the
Holiday Inn Express. The pick-up service from the airport was much
appreciated, the bedrooms were very comfortable and the breakfast was
good. The proximity of the railway station in Hoofddorf, which was a
short walk, was great as our flight the following day was an evening one
so we enjoyed a canal trip and lunch in the city centre. Our bags were

3 night stay - Hotel located very close to Metro line - station can be seen from the hotel - so if you are travelling by car, just leave it at the hotel and travel by public transport to the city center. Staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. Location was excellent, tram stop right outside taking you straight to the centre and only minutes from the lovely Vondelpark so you also feel away from it all. Everything. The rooms are huge the bed huge and comfortable the shower huge, good aircon with ventilation, nice big tv with hdmi in for once!. Downstairs two pool tables, ping pong and a gym, bar and restaurant. Close to two tram stops however far from city center.

There was a kitchenette with a two-burner stove, a microwave and a refrigerator. The room was comfortable and clean and it was quiet. There was ample room in the lounge area for hanging out and meeting people and the restaurant appeared to be well attended and a place to socialise. It was also just next to the subway and tram stops which was nice when arriving late at night.
