  This is a beautiful little "dar" on the north side of Chefchaoen. We stayed in a triple and found it very affordable. Very easy walk up to the mosque, which we highly recommend. Traditional Moroccan decor, gorgeous little fountain in the living room. We stayed in the summer time and found it to be not too hot at all -- can't attest to winter. The property is well restored and tastefully decorated, with a beautiful fireplace in the communal area that was fired up each night of our stay. Oil heaters are supplied in the bedrooms to take the chill off winter nights. Owner and staff are superbly helpful - we booked multiple nights and received a very generous upgrade.   We stayed here for 2 nights on the advice of our guidebook which said that this riad is absolutely perfect and I would have to agree! It’s a beautifully decorated riad, with friendly and helpful staff who speak English. They have a fireplace which was nice in February in the mountains and the room had a good heater. Very easy to find and well- mar... was die leute sagen » ked – though I’d recommend coming from Bab Souk as the riad is a bit closer to this than other medina entrances. Possibly the nicest roof of any riad - The staff was incredibly helpful....we were coming to Chefchaouen by private car and were unable to find our way to the entrance ....one of the guys came down to the town....bopped in our car and led us to the parking area and helped us take our bags to the Dar. The breakfast is hearty and fresh...much more than a typical carb overload...and the ambiance is lovely; fireplace going in the chilly morning...great terrasse to relax and take the sun in the afternoon .   Our last night in Morocco was spent at Maison d’hotes Berbari. After a long road trip we got to this peaceful oasis and we were immediately met by the friendly staff and the 3 extremely cute dogs of the Maison, Lola, Lolita and Boulé that gave us a warm welcome! Storks live on the roofs. Food great, we were a family of 4 staying in 2 rooms, nicely and sympathetically decorated, a bit dark if you needed a proper light. Would definatley go again.

Fabienne was so welcoming and a fantastic host and we also had the pleasure of meeting her mother.   Casa Hassan is outstanding, clean, friendly people and very artistic. I have stayed there on many occasions while living in Spain and would highly recommend it. Food is good in their downstairs restaurant and the entire riad is representing the artisanal of morocco.
