  The Riad is tastefully designed and the decor is chic. Modern feeling with rain shower head was a great feature. Our bed was very comfortable and our room (Alia) was large. Breakfast is sufficient with some variations day to day. We were there for 3 nights so we would not want to eat the same thing 3 times in a roll. Staff was very thorough with in - Riad Layla is on the edge of the Medina, but it is only a few minutes walk from the blue gate. The terrace has a fantastic view of the old Medina. The breakfast every morning is wonderful, and each of the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We originally booked for 2 days, and we extended another day of stay in Fez.   Our stay at la Bague was above and beyond our expectations! The riad is absolutely beautiful, very authentic, we felt more like we were living with a Moroccan family. The food was soo good and the staff was so generous and friendly. I have never before experienced a warmness like this before, as if you are coming home with friends. My friend was sick wenn we arrived and was taken care of immediately. Sakina and Hussein bought him medication, for which they did not want to get any money. They boiled him rice and did not charge, etc. These are lovely people. And the Riad is a nice place. An oasis of calm in the hectic of a Moroccan city.

  I liked everything about this Riad. It was exactly what I needed. Close to the Madina but not inside which meant I knew where I was at all times. It is within 2 min walk to the Blue Gate and close enough to walk to the brand new mall in the new city. If that's not enough The staff there is the best I have encountered on my 2 month trip. The view from the roof terrace is breathtaking, but most important are the wonderful staff, Ibrahim and Mohammed, nothing was too much trouble for them, making guests feel very welcome, even down to - Finding Dar was rather easy and that was very helpful in the maze that the Medina is. It's a new place built only recently and that can be seen in the facilities. Mohammed was always helpful and very polite and we appreciated him coming over to the airport to pick us up and walk us to the Dar (this has to be booked in advance for a fee and is certainly recommended). The most enjoyable part of our stay would be breakfast, it was tasty and there was a good choice of things.
