  My husband and I spent 5 days at the Datai. I've stayed in many hotels over the years but I can honestly say, that I enjoyed my stay at the Datai more than any other hotel I've ever stayed in. I felt a sense of peace being close to nature and the sea. All the staff were wonderful and couldnt do enough to make our stay comfortable. At full moon the staff spent all day setting up tables and chairs on the beach and in the eve - beautiful and spacious rooms with great service, food was pricy but then again it is a 5 star so u got to pay the price i guess. we felt pampered , loved our stay.. hats off to the management and staff ...

  It was the best hotel and resort i stayed in during my visit to malaysia, truly a luxurious experience, starting from check in to check out, they were very friendly and helpful, the resort was modernly designed , amazing sea view from our balcony , such a relaxing place, the view from the pool was breath taking, the breakfast in the morning was ... was die leute sagen » royal ! enjoyed every moment of my stay, i would definitely recommend it for any1 who want the full luxurious experience! - The buffet breakfast is one of the best in comparison to many 5 star hotels that I have stayed at. Very fresh, excellent variety, really amazing all around. The bed is extremely comfortable, the swimming pool is absolutely beautiful. There were a couple of minor instances that I had to raise my concern about, however the Guest Relations Manager (Jana Zahranova) was very courteous, professional and helpful. I can only highly recommend the Westin Langkawi.

  Amazing location - it's far away from other hotels (except Datai) in one of the most wonderful seashore I've ever seen, a lot of green around so as you live like in the wild tropical forest with beautiful sea-view. A lot of animals that live really in front of hotel but they all are really friendly to you (monkeys, geckos, beautiful birds, squirel... was die leute sagen » ls, flying lemurs etc). Restaurants are very goo (especially Fish restsurant with a very fresh seafood that local fishermans bring there 3 times a wee - -Local staff is extremely friendly, and they work well together as a team. They even know details about our personal preferences, which is the kind of service that money cannot buy. The spg is extremely lucky to have that team, and it is clear that many of them have been there for a long time. -Ramadan buffet was really good value for money. - Complimentary fruits and wine to the room were unexpected, and meant a lot to us. -Being flexible to the customer (arranging early dinner at short notice
