  My husband and I spent 5 days at the Datai. I've stayed in many hotels over the years but I can honestly say, that I enjoyed my stay at the Datai more than any other hotel I've ever stayed in. I felt a sense of peace being close to nature and the sea. All the staff were wonderful and couldnt do enough to make our stay comfortable.   great family stay, definitely will stay in this hotel again, the children loved the swimming pool which looks like a real beach, we spend a whole day in the resort and not bored there is lots of activities to do and enjoy the surrounding, great staff :) , arranged mangrove trip with hotel and guide which is a must and really worth the money - I r... was die leute sagen » eally loved the hotel & finds it great for honeymoon, my plan was to stay only for 2 nights and then moved to other hotel, but after I experienced the hotel I extended my stay to 5 nights. Honestly it was the best thing in the island.

  Beautifully appointed room, in a very serene setting. The fabulous pool with perfect temperature and gorgeous view is perfect for relaxing in the afternoon. The staff were really helpful, even letting us have use of a room after check out (as we had a late flight) staff. I loved that there were cats everywhere! Facilities were excellent, staff was extremely courteous and helpful. We liked the furry cats running around the place, our lil one year old liked playing with them. Very homely feel to the room we stayed in. Bathroom was huge and the wooden bath tub was quaint. We loved the fruit and cakes that they stocked daily in our fridge.

  We liked everything! This is an amazing place to stay, and thoroughly relaxing. Each 'room' is a little house on stilts with its own balcony. Each one is unique. We liked having the very friendly cats around, Scrabble to play and a pool to swim in. Breakfast in your fridge makes for an extra relaxing stay (no schedule to stick to). If we ever - -My daughter cried when we left! We loved this visit to Langkawi. the Bon Ton was absolutely gorgeous with every attention to detail. I loved the room with the outside bath, my daughter loved the cats and helped out in the mornings at the animal sanctuary near by. The view over the water hole was particularly beautiful at sunset, and in the morning there were monitor lizards and kingfishers. The free cocktails and snacks were a lovely touch and the staff were most happy to accomodate my request

Restaurant situated next to the motel serve many local dishes (cheap and tasty). If you like western food, there's a cafe near the beach (about 80 meters away from the motel). Aircon and fan in room working well. Shower in the small garden is awesome! Quality of the food in the restaurant is good. Security is quite well organized. Lifeguar - Absolutely fabulous! Perfect beach location for relaxing family holiday, plenty restaurants and shops within walking distance. Friendly service without being intrusive, the staff always happy and smiling. Food outstanding at the restaurant and pool side, breakfast good with plenty choice and good coffee. The resort and rooms are clean and well maintained, security courteous and professional. Well done Frangipani for brilliant team effort to provide us with a perfect family holiday!
