  The staff all speaks excellent English and it was nice to ask them about which buses to take to the sites. The rooms were spacious for the price and for Japanese standards, and very comfortable. The facilities were modern and clean, with a full kitchen and bar by the front desk. The breakfast buffet was cheap and pretty tasty. Highly recommended. - K's is an easy, safe walk from the main Kyoto train station, however if I chose to use the bus it is even closer! Using the bus or walking, we can easily reach many popular sites and some of our favorites (which are lesser known) as well. I have stayed with students and found this as ideal location. With friends, this time, it was marvelous!

  The hostel has so much character, it's a really lovely house with a cosy common area. The staff is incredibly kind, friendly and welcoming. On two nights that I was here they even cooked a Japanese home-made meal for everyone. The house is very clean (no shoes inside), same goes for the toilet and showers. Location is very practical - Nijo castle is a short walk away and at the castl - staffs are so kind and friendly. Easy to get there from kyoto station and it's located at center of the city so easy to go somewhere. All the guests stayed in the dormitory that I used was quiet and good. I could join the farewell party of one of the staffs and I really liked the atmosphere-even almost every people were speaking japanese so I hardly understand-. The cost was reasonable and the shower booth was much better than I thought. I would definately stay here again if I visit kyoto. 가

The hostel is designed as such fellow travelers meet with each other and it is good to expand the circle of friends from everywhere in the world. The staffs even introduced some Japanese food with us. In addition, they have a super cute dog, so if you have any allergies with them, you are not recommended to stay here. All in all, a great experience staying in Hostel Mundo and would like to recommend this place to the backpackers out there
