  We stayed at this hotek for two nights. And it was easy to walk there with our backpacks from Kyoto station. I google it then got the map from tourist information at the station and the staff just recomfirmed us how to get there. Only 15 min walk. Staff are very friendly and also allow us to leave our luggage there after check out. There are tea c... was die leute sagen » offee and even some pastry in the morning :-) room is basic but comfortable and have a balcony with view. There is only wifi at the lobby. But didnt b - My sister and I stay for 8 nights and we loved the place. The staff is extremely helpful and nice (even if they have problems communicating in English), the fact that there is a common place with fridge and that you get tea and water for free and even croissants for breakfast, the cleanliness the rooms and how central the location is. We highly recommend this place for people who want to explore Kyoto and surroundings for a few days.

  Great location, very close to JR Kyoto Station and convenience stores and restaurants around. no curfew. Staffs speak fluent English and always being helpful.Kitchen has everything you need. - The staff at check-in was very nice & helpful. All I needed was easily accessed.

  Me and my girlfriend stayed for 2 nights in Kyoto, we wanted to try traditional japanese style room. But when we arrived at Ikoi No Ie it occured to us that it was the best choice apart of that what I mentioned. Spacious kitchen (with free cold drinks, coffee and tea), shared bathrooms and showers (very very clean), nice terrace and many many tips... was die leute sagen » from previous visitors. Wheter you planed your visit at Kyoto or not, just look around and you'd probably find something intresting and worth seeing. - A subway station a minute away, also very convenient to the main railway station, (15 min walk or 1 subway station away), in a true old fashioned Kyoto street. Not far to 7/11 & supermarket, we didn't eat out much as 'the right place' was a little more difficult to find (not Japanese speaking). Although the railway station would have sufficed if we had wanted more eating options. We had the top floor of an apartment 30 metres from the hostel & front desk and a couple of hundred metres

  The location could not be more perfect!!!! Shopping, transportation and major tourist attractions right at your doorstep. The rooms and common areas are small but clean and comfortable. The bathroom facilities are limited, but in great condition, a very homely feel. All in all, a positive experience, and a great place to - The hostel was small, quiet and comfortable. It is right in the heart of the Gion district, which is a beautiful area to wander around. Located right next to a subway exit, and has a bus stop across the road. The staff were fantastic, and very able to provide english maps and give recommendations of places to visit and the best way to get there. Rooms don't have an ensuite, but the shared showers are good. The bed was comfortable and the heater worked well. Wireless internet was free and worked

  Sakura was the first hostel I have stayed in and it was all I could have wanted it to be. The staff were friendly and informative of what to do in Kyoto. The common area was great for meeting others, cook your own meals and planning your days activities as the walls were plastered with information about Kyoto. Though it is traditional bedding, it is really quite comfortable - we had a great sleep each nigh - This Japanese style hostel was the nicest place I ever stayed in. I felt like "home" there. Room is unexpectedly big for this price and smelled of woods and straw. Kitchen is clean and convenient. Staff was very helpful. Highly recommended for budget stay.

  The staff can all speak reasonably good English and are all extremely helpful! The house is great if u r looking for the traditional "Japanese living" feel!! Security isint a problem since all rooms have locks and the main gate will be locked electronically after 10pm.   It's really a nice and fancy place to stay for backpacking, and they regularly hold some gathering and activities with the native and local university students. Staff there are quite friendly and useful with good English enough to communicate. An - The Staff was super friendly and helpful. They know the city very well and give hints how to move in the city. They also have maps and you can buy tickets directly in the hostel that you don't have to be bothered with it in the metro station or bus stop (very convenient). The hostel is clean and quite during night. They have a huge common area with kitchen, laundry and living room with tv. Additionally it is located in the very city center. I recommend it for tourists and backpackers! :)

  The staff were all absolutely kind and helpful and the place felt like home. We borrowed their inexpensive rental bikes, which were great for getting around. Traditional and cozy. All the things I would want: clear explanation of how things work, fridge and simple kitchen access, 24 hour entry, help with transit info, pleasant showers, handy poste... was die leute sagen » d map with hours noted of local bath houses, kept our bags after check-out, windows open, nice light, pretty wood work and no tv. - Unless I have the cash to stay at a high-end Ryokan, Gojo is my favorite place to stay in Kyoto. The staff are wonderful and kind, but also almost all young Japanese living in Kyoto. They have great recommendations and are funny and helpful. They also play cool music in the relaxed cafe where a nice thick piece of honey toast and a hand drip cup of coffee are only 300 yen!

  The staff all speaks excellent English and it was nice to ask them about which buses to take to the sites. The rooms were spacious for the price and for Japanese standards, and very comfortable. Highly recommended. - K's is an easy, safe walk from the main Kyoto train station, however if I chose to use the bus it is even closer! Using the bus or walking, we can easily reach many popular sites and some of our favorites (which are lesser known) as well. I have stayed with students and found this as ideal location. With friends, this time, it was marvelous!

  The hostel has so much character, it's a really lovely house with a cosy common area. The staff is incredibly kind, friendly and welcoming. On two nights that I was here they even cooked a Japanese home-made meal for everyone. The house is very clean (no shoes inside), same goes for the toilet and showers. Location is very practical - Nijo castle is a short walk away and at the castl - staffs are so kind and friendly. Easy to get there from kyoto station and it's located at center of the city so easy to go somewhere. All the guests stayed in the dormitory that I used was quiet and good. I could join the farewell party of one of the staffs and I really liked the atmosphere-even almost every people were speaking japanese so I hardly understand-. The cost was reasonable and the shower booth was much better than I thought. I would definately stay here again if I visit kyoto. 가
