  We stayed two nights on our journey to Greece. The hotel, conveniently, is only 15 minutes from the AutoRoute and an hour and a half from Ancona. When we arrived at 2.45 on Sunday afternoon the restaurant was packed. Dinner that evening was excellent as was the wine recommendation. It is the best home produced wine and oi - We last stayed at the Locanda in March when it was very cold but the hotel was cosy and the staff so helpful and welcoming. On our return we were greeted like old friends. Dinner on the Veranda was perfect and the menu reflected the season. We were invited to share a glass of wine and a slice of birthday cake by the relatives of the chef sitting at the next table. Breakfast was served outside with delicious cherries and apricots.
