  Our hosts were so welcoming and so very friendly that we wished we could stay longer. The room we had was very spacious, the kitchen has all you need, there is a small lounge area as well.   My friend and I had a comfortable, roomy and clean triple room with private bathroom, quiet at the back of the hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast with plenty of choice including fresh fruit and scrambled egg and French type bacon. The bedroom and bathroom were was lighter and brighter than shown in the photos with clean white towel... was die leute sagen » s each day in the bathroom. Only about a 10 minute walk to the station for the shuttle bus to Giverny for Monet's garden and a good bar for an evening - Vernon is very close to Giverny (4 kilometers) which is why we chose this hotel. It was quite reasonable for 2 nights at 176 Euro. Basic hotel rooms....no frills but fine and clean. Restaurant good and lounge for drinks for tea very comfortable with leather overstuffed chairs. Staff very helpful. Walking to the village, church, museum and restaurants within minutes. Sweet village.

The setting is lovely, right by the Seine, complete with ducks and nesting swans whose cygnets appeared overnight. Though close to the railway line, it really didn't intrude at all. We had an excellent meal. The staff were pleasant and willing.
