  We just loved the setting of the Chateau, its most interesting history & unspoilt beauty. Location was great with Amboise just minutes down the road offering cafe's, restaurants, weekend market, historic Chateau & more. Our room was very pretty, complete with the biggest claw foot bat - Chateau de Nazelles was out of a fairy tale. The rooms were unique parts of the original 16th century castle. We stayed in the guest house suite, which was marvelous. We enjoyed the spaciousness of the suite, the kitchen, dining table, and separate "man cave" which in fact was a cave built into the limestone cliff. We stayed not in the main building but in separate cottage facing beautiful old garden. The staff was very helpful (the owner and his wife are always at the front desk).   Wow!! The property is next to the river Loire and easy to find. On arrival we were met by the lovely friendly couple who own the Chambres dHotes working on their part of the caves. The place is stunning. Our room was at the back of the caves with a 4 poster bed and spa shower. When we turned the lights off to go to sleep it was black and silent. There is a large TV and leather sofa in the common area. The rooms are cozy and well decorated. The shower is nice also. The breakfast was good. Convienient location for seeing Amboise and nearby chateaux.

The owner Patricia was very welcoming and had left out a basket with pastries and chocolates for us on arrival.
