  The location is fantastic: 5 minutes walk to Diocletian's Palace, but tucked around the back of a building and thus absolutely quiet. Central Split can be a raucous party scene, but Royal Suites is dead quiet, despite its proximity. The staff is also absolutely fantastic. Someone also waited up for our arrival at 11 PM on a Sunday night. The - We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Royal Suites, which is ideally situated near the old town. The highlight was the outstanding attitude of the staff, who provided us with excellent advice and support. Nothing was too much trouble for Maria, Tony, Tina and Lana. The room was very clean and comfortable and we enjoyed excellent breakfasts. We would certainly stay at the hotel again.

The stuff as friendly and very helpful with both transport as well as tips of what to visit and look for in this city. The room was clean and pretty with some really old stone walls that was beautiful and matched right in with the design of the rooms. The bathroom was lovely and the bed amazingly comfortable as was as a really good breakfast. Recomends it a lot!

Antonia kindly met us at the port and showed us where to leave our hire car, then walked us into the Palace grounds where Villa Split is situated, on the way Antonia gave us an excellent brief history of the Palace which was invaluable as she was much more informative that the guide book we purchased.   This was a fabulous location. The staff were amazingly helpful in recommendations and places to see. They even saved us a parking spot outside the villa. There is parking nearby also. We stayed in a renovated donkey stable that was full of character. A family run business . Breakfast was delicious ! Highly recommend this accomodation - Our hosts met us before we even got out of the taxi! Beautiful room. Quiet neighborhood in old town. Steps away from narrow streets...steps away from public park...perfect spot to enjoy Split. Delicious breakfast buffet - even local treats to go with great coffee. Pero & Katja such warm and welcoming hosts. Can't imagine any place nicer to begin a vacation on the Dalmatian Coast.
