The owner and his family are very nice. The apartment was nicely furnished (stereo, DVD player, DVD's, knick-knacks from around the world). The owner left 2 beers, a bottle of orange juice, and a bottle of water in the refigerator and informed me that they were for me- I thought this was a nice touch. I had problems finding the apartment, and the owner came to meet me. The location is good- about a 7-10 minute walk to the old city section (Diocletian's Palace) of Split.

Very close to the main promenade/restaurants/street shopping/port. Enroute is a very handy internet cafe. Felt very safe. Both train and main bus station are only 10-15 minutes away. Information office is also near by. Owner lives next door and is very open to suggestions to improve apartment.

which was locked in a room near the reception.

The location is top class. The air conditioning was the best we had in Croatia. Our apartment had a great balcony for sitting out on. Great value city centre apartment which had everything we needed. My wife needed a hair dryer and the owner arrived with one within mimutes. Also arrived with beach towels when we asked if we could borrow some.

Very friendly hosts, apartment was well equipped. 20 minute walk into Split centre but easy to find. We were able to park outside and leave the car during our stay. The best feature of Villa Kate is its location - minutes of walk from Diocletian's Palace, the markets, supermarkets and the Riva Promenade. It's well placed to join day tours and return to cool down in the air-conditioned sitting room before heading out to enjoy an evening stroll. We also liked the kitchenette and the power shower.
