  We stayed in Beijing at Xiao Yuan Alley Courtyard Hotel for 3 nights. It is lovely small hotel in Chinese style. It is very friendly, pleasant, comfortable and cute! It is situated in an old Beijing district Hutong, which is probably the only bastion of traditional Chinese climate left. The taxi from the airport to the hotel cost us 70 yuans (according to a taximet - Featuring charming, ultra-helpful English-speaking staff; the Xiao Yuan Alley hotel provides comfortable beds and good facilities, with a superbly located downtown hutong (Beijing alley) location, sensibly priced organized tours (if you wish) and excellent and very reasonably priced food available inside and nearby outside the hotel. And it's a very affordable place. I very much want to stay at this hotel again. I get happy just thinking about it. Highly recommend.

  I love the bar/resto and the rooftop! A nice place to hang out at night or when we just want to rest for a while. I like the location because its still in the middle of city but it's not as crowded or as noisy as other city centers. It's also very close to metro station. All in all, it's perfect place to stay!   We arrived in Beijing at 1am in the morning but due to difficulties with the taxi driver finding the street this hotel was on we didn't actually check in until 2.30am.
