Loved the heated spa and they provided us with sticks to light our own little fire outside. Everything was perfect would definitely stay ther - We were able to walk to our concert venue but the rest of the time we enjoyed staying in and lazing about. Great ambience for doing just that. Casa La Vina is also very well located for touring wineries etc

  My wife and I spent two wonderful nights at Splinters while exploring the many wineries in the Hunter Valley. Their very comfortable and well appointed lodging is situated right in the middle of the many excellent boutique wineries in the area. Having only three rooms and two self contained cottages it is very relaxing, quiet and pampering. She recommended and booked a restaurant for dinner (and lunch the next morning). The fireplace was already to go. There was cheese and crackers, brownies, breakfast supplies, wine, port, chocolates and a coffee machine all there included in the price. The place was beautiful and the outlook peaceful.

  The view from our studio apartment was amazing. We could see the mountains and the chairlift. The studio apartment was very comfortable and well appointed. It was really relaxing. It was like we were in our own nest. It was very quiet. Not many people around. I have visited Hunter Valley previously and have to say this Guesthouse is one of the top stays I have experienced. Beautiful decor with attention to details, Thistle Hill grounds are stunning, breakfast very tasty with great choice of food, and Carol's baked pears just delicious!! We will definitely come back later this year.

Would I stay there again and recommend to my friends - YES - Hosts Kerry and Heather were very friendly and professional, and we could see that they were doing everything they could to make our stay comfortable. One nice touch: they left us a copy of The Canberra Times just outside the door one morning, (we're from the ACT). Their breakfast menu was fantastic. We stayed at this same place during holidays last year and liked it well enough to stay here again this year.
