  The location can't be beaten if you want to look at the city. We had the trains and buses at the door and only a block away from Kurilpa Pedestrian Bridge which gives access to the Southbank with only a 10 min walk. We enjoyed being almost across the road from Rom - The first time I stayed at Abbey apartments I booked a superior room but it was absolutely disgusting. Shocking! So this time I asked to make sure I really had a superior room as each time I paid extra for it. This time my room was lovely. Great value for money. Lovely furnishings, dishwasher, dryer,and washing machine. I appreciated that the improved things for me this time. I liked that the heating and cooling was so easy to control and fab location.

We walked with ease - Deceiving at first as the door to my room was off one of the carpark levels (I was only on level 2). But open the door to a wonderful surprise - a huge long apartment with good bed, full size dining table, full size fridge, oven, cooktop, smallish lounge area with decent size tv and a large outdoor patio area with dining set and sliding doors to block out the nearby traffic.

  This was my second stay at Astor Apartments and I intend many more. The location is superb for travellers with out a vehicle as it is so close to Central Train Station, the CBD, South Bank and bus departure stations. The Astor Apartments provide excellent, well presented accommodation and apartments have everything you need for a great stay. The apartment key & room allocated was well arranged and easy to access & directly to our room. On the following day, we realized one of the male staff is really helpful when we asked for an extra bed and the bed was there after we returned to the room. In general, the apartment is really well managed.

  I requested a room with a view as this was a special occasion. The room had a great view overlooking the river and park across the street. Most probably one of the best stays I have had in a hotel. The facilities were great and everything was clean and in a working order. The staff were lovely and very attentive, and helped us out with using the washing machine and fixing a window. The room had very good air con and foxtel, and a pretty decent kitchen. This is the best you will get considering the price, and in saying that i - 2 bedroom apartment had great living space and balcony. Staff most helpful during booking process and also on phone over weekend when office closed. Alliance Hotel right across the road served fabulous meals, friendly staff and lovely refurbished old pub. Also the little pizza joint was great too,cheap. 7/11 also next to that as well. Good vehicle parking access and great for getting from city around town and to airport. would definitely stay there again if apartment stay required.

I was able to check in early as we had dropped the kids off at a concert in the morning which was great after the considerable drive we had had to get there.
