  We loved the complete set-up, the maritim style throughout the hotel. Common areas were nicely furnished and with great views of the marina. In the evening the staff would light bonfires on the different terraces.The rooms were bright and spacious with balconies, the bathroom was big and nice and staff was very friendly and accommodating.   We attended the waj Alumni Banquet. This was the first time my sister-in- law had been back to the North Eastern part of the U.S. since moving to Germany over 40 years ago.   Indoor waterpark was great for kids (11 & 6). Be sure to read there website about the waterpark. Great for rainy days. Also the arcade was quite big which also took up some time (and money) for the kids. Downtown Lake George Village was nice for shopping and finding places to eat. I felt safe being there with just myself and my small 4 children. I left a few items behind when I checked out and they mailed the items to me- who does that?   Very nice place just outside (2 miles) the craziness of the village. We wanted 'quiet' but close enough to enjoy the downtown area. We drove into town but the trolley is available just outside the Colonel Williams. The owners/staff are very attentive and the grounds/rooms are well cared for.   We loved the mineral baths and massages at the Roosevelt Spa! The hotel is right in the middle of the state park with beautiful trails.
