  The location in the Garden District was within walking distance of the lovely antebellum mansions and great restaurants. The streetcar was right outside our door. We would highly recommend this hotel and would return in a - We booked at the Avenue Plaza at the last minute because our reserved hotel room elsewhere had a broken pool. For $10 more a night, the amenities were more than doubled. We were so happy with our stay at the Plaza I will book there every return (business) trip. It is worth not "shopping around" to stay there.

  Nice clean hotel within walking distance to convention center, wwii Museum, buses, streetcar stations. We walked to French Quarter and it was a nice 10 ~ 15 min walk.   This reveiw is for our visit on 12/2. We got a ground floor room, the beds were much more comfortable than the last room. We were able to park right in front of our room. Again the Staff was Great, we ask for a good local restaurant and their recommendation was terrific.   the rooms were great, clean and quiet with comfortable bedding. We also loved that breakfast and was served Monday each morning, and dinner was served Monday thru Thursday for free, with very good hot and enjoyable meals.   I like that the Candlewood Suites is an extended stay place. It had stove top, microwaves, toaster, dishwasher,refrigerator,dishes,flatware,everything. So if you were vacationing on a budget, there's a Walmart within walking distance to buy groceries for the room. - Nice, clean and very friendly staff. Wonderful room.
