Ocean Palms is the best kept secret in Pismo Beach! We loved everything about it! The management was friendly, the rooms have been updated and are comfortable, immaculate, nicely decorated with all new furniture and a great mini fridge, microwave and small coffee pot. Pool is heated and well kept. This location is right off 101 and easy walk just a couple if blocks staight down ocean view street to the beach, boardwalk, restaurants as well as 1 minute drive to the outlet stores. 所有评语 » We stayed one night in this motel during our vacaction in California. Pismo Beach is great and so is the motel. The location is very close to downtown and about five minutes from the beach (on foot). The neighborhood and the surrounding streets are quit, at least at night when they should be...There is a little swimming pool, however you better go to the fabulous beach. The rooms are clean and everything in good condition, the equipment is fair if you do not plan to stay for a longer time. Forg. Location excess to 101S is perfect. It is well kept property with pleasant furnishings even at the pool. The breakfast pastries were delicious--which I don't normally eat. We enjoyed being able to park the car (free) and walk to ocean (within 5min) along with shopping around Pismo Beach area. My husband didn't mind the walk with his surfboard to ocean (again within 5 min). Our room, 101, was very nice with refrigerator and microwave. We found the property relaxing and quiet, along with friend. The room was clean and the grounds were well kept. Thee continental breakfast was wonderful and included homemade waffles in addition to pastries, muffins, cereal, coffee and orange juice. The location is within walking distance to the beach and local hot spots. Excellent price for the position, jus t outside marvellous Pismo Beach and few minutes from Shell Beach. I like the fact that the Hotel beds where comfortable and the rooms where clean. The hotel is close enough to all the shopping and beach. The only disappointment was the pool was not heated as advertised. And, was in fact, locked and closed to guests,. No space for a relaxing breakfast, because it is "served" in front of the desk jin the tiny reception office. The fact that the hotel did not have any a/c units really was unpleasant. The walls n ceiling are really thin I could hear people from upstairs and when the window where close you can still hear the people talking. We left the windows open to let the breeze in but there was so much noise from some of the guest that I dint really get a good night sleep. I know that was not the hotels fault but if the rooms had individual a/c units we would have not experience what we did. Nothing. Breakfast a little sparse, but adequate. Just a poor breakfast and too small breakfast area - everything else great. We had to leave early to continue our road trip, if breakfast was served even a half an hour earlier we would of loved to have some cherrios, raisin bran, or even make our own waffles. Their breakfast set up looked pretty impressive, small, but well worth it I'm sure. The bathroom was a little small, but it did not present any real issues. The pet charge is for EACH dog, which gets a little excessive when traveling with 2 little dogs. I would rather pay a refundable deposit of a higher amount, than pay for my 2 dogs to be in room with us.(The hotel does not want you to leave your pets alone in the room.). The registration process should be overhauled - very friendly staff - but it took too long to register. The only negative thing was the quality of the water - but that may be the whole of Pismo Beach area. The price was a bit much and in line with other accommodations in the area. We felt the man who was at the reception when we check in was drunken. But he give us extra parking time after check out at the next day!. There is nothing bad to say about ocean palms. We weren't told about breakfast... It is hosted in the small reception area - they're making the most of what they have. I had paid for breakfast but forgot to ask about it... I would only suggest something written in the guest welcome book regarding breakfast.- My own fault for not asking though!. Busy street, so a little noisy with the window open. No air, so you need the window. Typically AC is not needed but on this weekend it was hot and the rooms don't have AC. Chairs were a bit uncomfortable. Size of the room, with 2 double beds. Wish I had a choice to have 2 Queen sized beds. There was nothing wrong w/motel. Nothing fancy but clean and new furnishings, carpet. Breakfast was poor but there are plenty of places within walking distance to eat. Like a lot of hotels lately the maids used a spray scent when cleaning and I think the maids get wat to use to the scent so they use to much and you have to air out the room for hours before you can breathe. Not a high end hotel - but god f CSS & location. I would stay again. The light in the bathroom burned out and the bottom of the bathroom door came off. Smokers outside our room talking during the evening - couldn't open window for cool air. Since there was no air conditioner, this was an issue but not really too bad. Noisy due to 2nd floor guests overhead. Thin walls and ceilings?. The room was small but cute and cozy. Seemed pricey for a basic motel but may be comparable to others in a beach town in summer.
