  I enjoyed City Club more than any NYC hotel in which I've stayed in the past (incl. Times Square Westin and Marriott Marquis). When I arrived, the staff had my suitcase inside the hotel before I was even out of the taxi. Location was good if you want to be close to midtown attractions but is quite a hike down to downtown where I wanted to spend most of my time in NY, although it is a nice walk.

  Stanton street was a Great location with lots of reasonably priced eateries nearby. I have stayed in central manhattan in the past and by comparison I think the lower east side had more soul and we felt more at home and that we were locals for the couple of weeks that we stayed there.   I had stayed there before and enjoyed the traditional atmosphere hugely. I was pleased to see it offered at a tbetter price than other hotels close by.manhattan is nonetheless very expensive - Loved the location, ambience, room!
