  We loved the Dauphine! It is close enough to Bourbon, without the noise and other nonsense. We were given a room across the street from the main hotel and it was absolutely lovely. A calm oasis compared to the madness of the French Quarter. Also if you going to a conference at any of the major hotels, the Dauphine is a quick walk to all. I met someone called Nathaniel and I had the best time ever ,just regret I didn't ask for his e-mail because he forgot his glasses and I wish I can give them back to him ...   The room was pretty much what we saw on the internet, so pretty much what we expected. The courtyard and our balcony overlooking the the courtyard was really nice. We didn't have much interaction with the staff, but what little we had was quite positive.   I loved the vibe of the hotel and the fact that it is a boutique hotel. The check in staff were very accommodating and I love the green apple touch. I helped myself to one every day. We were fascinated to hear his account of hurricane Katrina, the education system and overall economy in New Orleans. In addition he supplied us - I loved this hotel! My husband and I stayed at this hotel for my birthday weekend. I use to live in New Orleans, but this was my husband's first visit and we had a blast. The staff is very attentive and they even left a special gift in our room once they found out it was my birthday! Great location & Great modern hotel!

  The staff greeted us from the door man to food staff when we came thru the lobby to get to our rooms. My gosh! We were there to celebrate our 17th wedding anniversary and Drew who checked us in got very busy searching for other accomodations for us. We ended up in the tower suite with a murphy bed. I had heard those could be uncomfortable,but let me tell you the one in the Marriott, was more comfortable than most king size beds we have stayed in at other hotels. Definitely recommend this hote
